Nostradamus and the End of the World
Nostradamus - End of the World in 2012 The predictions of Nostradamus are sometimes called the Nostradamus code, although they are mostly known as writings of Nostradamus. The complete prophecies of Nostradamus are the official name for more than 942 four-line verses (known as quatrains) that were cryptic visionary glimpses into the future. These quatrains were divided into four more groups of Nostradamus writings that were each called The Centuries.

Originally, these predictions by Nostradamus were sent as a letter that was sent to Henry II, the King of Francis. These rhymes led the King to have conversations with Nostradamus.

The prophecies made for exciting reading, as they were full of assassinations, murders, accidents, deaths, and political upheavals. However, each quatrain was written in a way that was ambiguous, which made the date that the prophecy was to be fulfilled a little vague. This is part of the charm of this great seer’s writings, which have been said to predict everything from the accidental death of Henry to the assassination of JFK to the fall of the Twin Towers. There are also many writings that indicate a Nostradamus world end at 2012, just as predicted in the Mayan calendar.

The complete writings of Nostradamus were published in increments between 1555 and 1558. It was not well respected, as visionaries and prophets were considered to be unlawful. However, the Nostradamus life was blessed because he was also a doctor who healed people, which protected him from harassment.

Only a few copies of the original editions of the complete prophecies of Nostradamus have been preserved in national libraries. After 1558, translations were published and there are arguments over the various interpretations of his quatrains until this day. Furthermore, the words have mutated over the centuries, so the quatrains that you read in one book might be very different than the ones you read in another.

The most accurate edition of Nostradamus writings is considered to be the Mace Bonhomie editions, which were published in 1555 in Lyon, which also contains letters to King Henry’s son Cesar.  There is another extended edition of the Nostradamus prophecies that was published in 1557 by Antoine du Rosne of Lyon and this copy is often referred to as it is preserved in nearly perfect condition in the National Library in Budapest, Hungary.

Throughout Nostradamus' quatrains, he speaks of three powerful and tyrannical leaders that he calls anti-Christs. He said they would lead their people through reigns of terror after first seducing them with promises of greatness. Napoleon is thought to have been the first of these anti-Christs and Hitler the second. The third is the one that will lead us, although to the apocalypse and the end of the world.

According to Nostradamus, the first two anti-Christs were extremely evil, and history has shown this to be so; however, Nostradamus speaks of a third anti-Christ who is more hideous than all the others combined.  Some have said Sadaam Hussein, the dictator from Iraq (proved false now), or even Osama Bin Laden. Could he be this evil tyrant? Others say that he has not yet appeared. What does Nostradamus say about this third anti-Christ?  First, Nostradamus tells us he will come from the Middle East:

Out of the country of Greater Arabia Shall be born a strong master of Mohammed,
He will enter Europe wearing a blue turban.
He will be the terror of mankind.
Never more horror.

This invasion will start a third world war that will be far worse than all the other wars put together. When will all this take place? In one quatrain, Nostradamus gives us an exact date in which the war will be well under way:

In the year 1999 and seven months
From the sky will come the great King of Terror.
He will bring back to life the King of the Mongols;
Before and after war reigns.

Nostradamus predicts the war will begin shortly before the year 1999. He also tells us how long the war will last:

The war will last seven and twenty years.

Nostradamus says that the war will be so terrible that the world will come face to face with final annihilation. Here, he implies that the war might involve some kind of horrible weapon, possibly nuclear. Nostradamus tells what the first target will be:

Fire approaches the great new city. The sky will burn at forty-five degrees

In this phrase, Nostradamus refers to a great city in the new world of America near forty-five degrees latitude. Of course, many people think that this is likely a reference to New York City and 9/11. Scholars believe he is talking about the apocalypse.

Again, you can interpret this as you will. The sky did burn at 45 degrees, but New York was not destroyed. Most scholars of Nostradamus believe that this  is a reference to a nuclear attack, not a terrorist attack because of the reference to the sky burning:

By fire he will destroy their city, A cold and cruel heart, Blood will pour, Mercy to none.

What Nostradamus did predict was that a great war would come sometime during the last five years of the 20th century, presaged by famine, drought, and a series of other natural disasters. This war will last almost thirty years, after which there will be one thousand years of peace, or a new golden age. That is also very similar to what the Mayan prophecies tell us and also the Book of Revelation. Nostradamus quatrains did not go beyond 3786 or 3797.

As you can see, the predictions of Nostradamus are quite terrifying and it seems that he did have some predictions that were eerily correct when it came to talking about contemporary times and instances of terrorism that could eventually lead to a conflict so big the earth is destroyed!

umm....well Henry was the King of France, not the King of Francis..lol! And I think he wrote that letter you refer to to his own son Cesar, but disguised it so it would not be intercepted and be found treasonous. Also, some people think that the letter you refer to is actually a message to a person in our present times, who will be able to use the letter as a cipher to unlock the quatrains, et al his spiritual son Cesar. Nostradamus was a man who studies greatly into namy different esoteric sciences, but one thing to take note of: he once had a book in his possesion that he considered to be so powerful and dangersous that he consigned it to the flames of his fireplace, after which he said the entire house, even rooms far from the fireplace, became illuminated with a bright blue light. Who is to say that the same formulae for seeing the future could not once again be discovered? Let us pray, that if it is, it will be found by one who is morally and spiritually worthy to receive such knowledge, as I believe Nostradamus was...indeed! Viva La Sagittarius!!

As a Middle School student, I have read many of Nostradamus's quatrains, and they are indeed very frightening. I believe that the war will happen, and I believe there will be some sort of nuclear weapon involved. Thankfully, I'm not afraid of any of it. I guess it's natural for people to be afriad of something they do not understand.

And where and whereas before not everything was seen or know by all. A cruel and rude awakening for those whom lived their lives in a disregard for other lives when stepping into this caous and in these long lasting battles loose their lives to many it becomes the end of the world.

In another part I believe he means this person is a disendent of mohammed and arabia. The war he mentions is probably every cell against other cells in every area in the different countries whom are fighting each other by killing and betraying each other for power and control and bloodiest and cold and heartless because even too mucho innocent blood is being spilled and horrific because the whole wold though our very modern and different technologies are viewing and presencing all kinds of malicious events wordwide

It is my believe that NOSTRADAMUS means that one person comes from either royal blood or some that comes from great influencial and very powerful backround.
