Is Your Lover Cheating? The Meaning of Cheating Dreams
Is Your Spouse Cheating? Dreams, interpreting your bad dreams, learn what they mean! Find out now FREE! The meaning of cheating dreams are often inquired about since they are so common. Many people experience these troubling dreams and then feel that they are prophetic or psychic in some nature. Many people even go so far as to accuse their lover or spouse of cheating in real life.

The upshot is that sometimes these dreams are valid and sometimes they are not. The subconscious may absolutely be picking up on an infidelity that your conscious mind has been trying to repress. This is why it is so concerning if you do have a dream about cheating. Your conscious mind may have detected subtle body language or noticed a partner looking more fit or well dressed. Your mind may ignore this as nothing during the day, but during the night the subconscious lets loose the fears of being left by another.

For the most part, cheating dreams can mean that you fear cheating. These dreams do not necessarily mean that you are psychic. It is most likely that the dream is caused by guilt, anxiety or insecurity. In fact, it is very often the cheater that has a dream about the person that he or she cheated on being unfaithful. This is a transference of guilt. A dream of cheating can also reveal deep-seated anxiety in general, doubts about your own attractiveness or just feeling anxious about the future of a relationship in general.

Many people who are separated by distance from a lover dream of them cheating. The same often happens of people who have long distance relationships, online relationships, or who have been cohabitating together with the expectation of a marriage that never seems to happen.

Dreaming that you are cheating on someone can also mean that you feel guilt about other things in your life. Sometimes these guilty feelings have nothing to do with what is going on in your relationship. You could have done something not that morally sound in another area of your life, such as shoplift or cut corners at work and the subconscious mind makes you feel as if you should be punished. The result is that you are given a dream that tortures you with doubt about what you care most about in your life which is your relationship.

Most dreams about cheating just simply symbolize fear and not even fear about the relationship. These dreams come hand in hand with real life fears such as fear of public speaking, fear of failing a test or being humiliated in public. This is because being cheated on in public feels similar emotionally as other kinds of behaviors.

So before making accusations about a lover, make sure the dream is not really more about a fear that has something to do with your personal life or even your own cheating behavior. As is true of all dreams like this, it is important to investigate yourself.

Aries, I was refering to Aidie and mistakenly wrote your name. Sorry about that. From your comment, I already assumed you are a guy. Aidie was talking about how someone lady had been calling her husband and that was what I was pointing out.

@Green: Just a small FYI, I'm a guy. Aries = The Ram = Male Sheep = Male. Don't worry about it though, it happens often. Also, I'm not married.

Somni, if you read Aries' comment, you will realise that she mentioned that a lady was calling her husband, he had withdrawn from her and was coming home late. You really do not need dreams to tell you that the guy is cheating. I do not take dreams literally, but in my case, if I dream a man is cheating on me, in reality, he is actually cheating or about to start cheating. So I take those dreams seriously.

Green, I think it's important to not jump to conclusions. Dreams can be interpreted so many ways, and it's important to look at how it relates to your real life before deciding on what it means. Perhaps you dreamt that because you were simply worried about it (for no reason). Perhaps you picked up on things subconsciously that suggested he was indeed cheating. Dreams shouldn't be taken as if they have one definitive meaning, but should help you better understand your real life feelings instead.

@Green, which is just as bad as accusing them. Besides, you might see him talking to his sister/closest childhood friend/cousin/HIS MOTHER, and accuse him of cheating in your extreme paranoia. Yes, I've been accused of cheating by talking to a girl I haven't seen in 7 years. I promptly snogged her on the lips and said to my ex "Yes, I've been cheating on you, I'm bored with you, go away." Cruel? Yes. Deserved? Yes.

Aidie, I guess you have been clearly shown what is happening with your husband. What do you mean you do not have a way out. There is always a way out. The old saying goes... where there is a will there is a way... so find your way out. I would have left a long time ago if I was in your situation

I've had some extremely vivid dreams of my husband cheating on me. I see everything, even his private parts and in my dream I recognize them. He withdrew from me years ago, I'm stuck here for the moment with no way out. But the phone calls have stopped, and he comes home on time for a change. I'm waiting for her to start calling again. But the dreams every time I asked my guiding spirit if he was cheating would appear and extremely vivid. What's to deny right.

Aries, I do not think those dreams are from paranoia at all. For people whose dreams usually come out true, I think having that dream is a kind of warning and should be taken seriously. I think it is wrong to accuse your partner just because you had that dream, but it would be a good idea to start watching him closely.

While married to my first husband, I once dreamt that he was cheating on me and I was devastated in my dream. After we got divorced, I found out that he was actually cheating on me around the time I had the dream. So if I ever have a dream about my partner cheating on me again, I am sure going to take it very seriously.
