Planets That Can Cause Extreme Weather
Planets That Can Cause Extreme Weather Are there actual planetary influences that can cause extreme weather? Astrologers do seem to agree on a few commonalities that would make this influence inevitability.

One influence that is said to cause extreme environmental changes is a supermoon. Also known as a lunar perigree, this type of moon makes its closest approach to the earth. This only happens every 18 years. An extreme perigree happens when the moon happens to be full or new.The last extreme super moon occurred was on January 10th, 2005, right around the time of the 9.0 Indonesia earthquake.

However, for the most part, world are associated with degrees. The Critical Degrees are 0, 13, 26 of Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), 9 and 21 of Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius), 4 and 17 of Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces). When a Critical Degree falls on a house cusp, it shows stress and climax.

The planet that lands on the degree can denote the nature of the disaster. For instance, the Japan earthquake and tsunami disaster of March 2011 had Neptune at 0 degrees Aries emerging from Pisces a water sign. 0 degrees Aries denotes a cataclysm and Neptune is the planet that rules water.

When all of the planets line up in one sign, then we are greeted with a stellium. Stelliums have often been associated with world disasters and that is exactly what played out on March 11th, 2011. Aries is the Zodiac sign that symbolizes earthquakes and it seems that this is one planetary line-up that really shook up the world.

A Moon Wobble also can cause environmental havoc. A wobble happens when the Sun forms a square to the nodal axis. The energy is very similar to that associated with eclipses, when the New or Full Moon aligns closely with the lunar nodes. An example of a disaster connected to a moon wobble was on January 12, 2010 when the moon and Sun in Capricorn “wobble” coincided with the earthquake in Haiti.

Catastrophic events are also indicated when any planet falls at the same or adjacent degree as the moon in any sign. It is also not great news when two planets are at the same malevolent degree. Both Mercury and Virgo were at 14 degrees Libra, which is a degree that means “a disaster that means no turning back” on September 12th, 2001.

There are also several systems that assign meanings of the degrees in each sign to forecast catastrophe.

For instance:

If a planet is at 1 to 2 degrees Taurus, it can mean “an electrical storm.”

If a planet is at 4-5 degrees Taurus, it can mean “a widow at an open grave” (which translates to a mass killing or plague).

If a planet is at 9 -10 degrees in Taurus, it can mean “a Red Cross Nurse.”

If a planet is at 18-19 degrees in Taurus, it can mean “a new continent rising out of the ocean” which is a prediction for a volcano, earthquake, or tsunami.

If a planet is at 26-27 degrees Cancer, it can mean “a violent storm in a canyon filled with expensive homes.”

If a planet is at 1-2 degrees Virgo, it means “a large white cross dominates the landscape” which implies a mass catastrophe of one kind or another.

If a planet is sitting at 1-2 degrees Aquarius, it means an “unexpected thunderstorm.”

If a planet is sitting at 6-7 degrees Pisces, it means “a large cross lying on the rocks surrounded by sea and mist” and symbolizes a catastrophe against which it is hopeless to struggle or a situation that requires only faith.

What planet is in these degrees will help describe the nature of the catastrophe.

As an example, (even though it is not weather related), Pluto at 1-2 degrees in Virgo on August 2nd encouraged U.S. President Obama to get on television and tell the world that the United States was not going to be able to pay its national debt.

On August 30th, 2011, Hurricane Irene hit the east coast of the United States; at the time Jupiter (the planet of wealth and property) was at 9-10 degrees Taurus, which means “a Red Cross nurse.”

For the most part, the rest of the year looks quite clear of any big earthquakes or weather disaster. Dates to watch out for might be October 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th when a line up (steelier) of planets opposing Mercury could bring some kind of storm and November 2nd, 3rd, 4rth and 5th when a T-Square in the sky bodes some kind of band news.

To make use of this information for yourself, it is a good idea to look up an ephemeris online and see where the planets are if you want to try and predict how bad a weather or natural disaster might be in the near future.
