Harry Potter's Horoscope
The Astrology of Harry Potter Even though Harry Potter is a mythical person, he has a horoscope!

Devoted readers of J. K. Rowling's history of Master Potter's days at school deduce the date and place of Harry's birth from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. It seems that Harry Potter was born on July 31, 1979, near Little Whinging, Surrey, England, which gives us enough information to put together his horoscope. The birth year was surmised by a prominent astrologer online named Barbara Schermer, who backtracked his age from the publication date of the first book in the Harry Potter series.

Does it surprise anyone that Potter is a sunny, ambitious and generous Leo, who does not mind standing alone when it comes to his beliefs? Potter is a courageous and noble creature, who is also the center of his social circle.

His moon is in Libra, which makes him a fair minded and gentle individual, but like most Libras, when he goes out of balance, he really does. Like many Librans, Harry is prone to obsessive and competitive behaviors when it comes to women. However, in the end, all must be well as there is nothing more important to a Libra than romantic harmony.

The notorious bookworm also has three planets in Virgo, including the Moon, Uranus and Jupiter. These three planets are also in his second house making him a very precise person when it comes to his self expression. The Moon in Virgo signifies oppresses difficult, oppressive origins, which certainly does describe his early home life. Uranus describes his aptitude for magic and Jupiter in the second house explains the good luck that he has sometimes.

So why he is always in a position where he is fighting darker forces? Potter also has Saturn in his first house. This is an uneasy place for the disciplinary planet to be and refers to problems that may have been inherited from his ancestors. Harry Potter is also saddled with Venus in the twelfth house, which is the house of death. Venus is quite protective in this house, but it can also mean grave misfortune, such as the early death of one's parents. Venus in the twelfth house is, in fact, the perfect indicator of an orphan in a horoscope. Venus is also in Cancer, which is a very sensitive sign so he must feel the pangs of love for his partner Ginny quite acutely!

Potter is great at competitive broom flying because he has Mars in Gemini. This makes for an athlete that is very graceful and also light on his feet. Another benefit of having Mars in Gemini is that it means you are naturally lucky. You also do not tend to go to battle unless you absolutely have to because you can always see both sides of the story. Individuals with Mars in Gemini may also befriend their oppressors and enemies and have a kindly sense of rivalry. This tendency is expressed in scene after scene in the Harry Potter books.

Another error. Harry was born in Godric's Hollow. He was brought to Little Whinging and the Dursleys after his parents were killed. Just saying.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Harry Potter Horoscope! It sure sounds like him. The only correction I would make is that Ginny is Harry's love interest, not Hermione.

Very entertaining, and somewhat accurate. Besides the Ginny/Hermione error, one regarding the horoscope itself is that Harry is never obsessive and rarely competitive when it comes to women, at least no more so than any other teenage boy. And because Harry is a fictional character, I would consider his birth not so much the probable point of birth in the story line, but rather the date that Rowling first conceived the idea of Harry Potter. Truly the birth of a character first occurs within the mind of the writer, and then later is made public through the act of writing and publishing. I would cosider the publish date or the birth date within the story more of a Christening/Baptismal/Wiccaning date than an actual birth date. All in all, an interesting take on the astrology of Harry Potter, though.

Interesting horoscope for Harry! Though you made one small booboo...his partner is not Hermione, it's Ginny Weasley ;)
