As of March 9, 2009, Barbie was considered to officially be fifty years old. Her birthday is based on when she was officially unveiled by her creator, Ruth Handler, at the International Toy Fair in New York. More than just a toy, Barbie is also a favorite American personality. Nobody knows an official time of birth, but she was unveiled sometime between 10:00am and 3:00pm that day, so that means that Barbie has both a sun and a moon in Pisces.

This might account for why more than 800 million toys under the Barbie brand have been sold since 1958. It also helps that both her Venus and Mercury are in Aries, as that is a configuration that definitely will give her a mass market appeal.
