Pop Astrology: The Real Housewives of New Jersey |
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is a reality program on the Bravo network that follows the lives of several women who live in the upscale suburbs of that state. Astrology buffs that are fans of this highly rated reality show might be interested in the bizarre horoscopes of Caroline Manzo, Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita that boast a lot of strong earth and fire energy! The Taurus, Capricorn, and Virgo influences in each of their charts makes them stubborn and materialistic. The strong Leo influence in all of these charts makes each a superstar in her own mind, as it is a very egotistical as well as materialistic sign.
Caroline Manzo’s Horoscope
The very strong willed and outspoken Caroline Manzo, born Caroline Laurita, was born August 23, 1961 in Wayne, New Jersey. This gives her a Sun in Virgo and a Moon in Capricorn, and usually signifies a family-oriented domestic type who stays with one person for many years
Like many famous people, Caroline has her Sun in the Tenth house, which is a mark of fame but also of success at all costs. Virgo is ruthless and will do anything to get to the top and people with a Capricorn moon judge others by how much money they have. This explains this NJ Housewife’s competitive nature and obsession with being the best.
She has been married for over 25 years to Albert Manzo, co-owner of The Brownstone, an event and catering facility in Paterson, New Jersey. Capricorns and Virgos tend to be very loyal to their partners and choose people they can build empires with and they will tolerate infidelities, insults, and everything else as long as they claim to others that they “have a man.”
True to the Capricorn and Virgo influences in her chart, she is very concerned with family. Albert Manzo's brother, Tommy Manzo, is the second husband of Caroline's sister and former cast mate, Dina Manzo, making the two both sisters and sisters-in-law. The Season 2 finale climaxed when Caroline and fellow housewife, Danielle Staub, met with each thinking the other owed apologies. Manzo was meeting to try and convince Staub to drop charges against Manzo's niece. After the conversation got heated, Staub left, leaving Manzo to say she was done and will not speak of her again.
This was probably not that wise of Danielle. The bottom line is that you do not want to get on Caroline’s bad side thanks to that ascendant in Scorpio and she has aggressive planet Mars in the Eleventh House (The house of Society). Manzo will waste no time in ruining Staub’s reputation (no wonder Staub left the show after that).Once Manzo decides she dislikes someone, she is likely to hold a grudge forever. Even a minor argument can turn into a federal case for this obsessive and vengeful individual.
Teresa Giudice’s Horoscope
Teresa Giudice was born May 18, 1972 in Paterson New Jersey. This determined, obstinate, and ambitious individual has a Sun in bossy Taurus and the Moon in the self-centered sign of Leo. You do not want to cross Teresa, as she is very sensitive to offense, sometimes to an extreme.
Her well placed sun and moon guarantee Teresa a lot of money and also the privilege of having "right work." She earned a degree from Berkeley College in Fashion Marketing and Management, after which she worked in the fashion industry in New York as a contributor to Vogue magazine.
Like Many Taurus and Leo combinations, she was born to be successful just simply because few can compete with her drive and determination. She and her husband, Giuseppe ("Joe") Giudice, a childhood friend and entrepreneur, live in Towaco, New Jersey and have four daughters.
She has Venus in Cancer, which means a good marriage and fertility. Being a Taurus, she would be loyal to her husband to a fault, which has played itself out on the show. His alleged tax crimes are hurting her reputation on the show.

She is also a committee member for co-star Dina Manzo's charity, Project Ladybug. This is not surprising as people with a lot of Leo energy are very philanthropic and generous.
Entire episodes of The Real Housewives of New Jersey were devoted to Teresa debating breast augmentation surgery and then finally doing it. This obsession with her looks can be attributed to the fact that she has an Ascendant in Leo and a Moon in Leo. This creates a very vain individual who is overly concerned about what others think of her.
Although the Sun is in the tenth house in her chart, she also has Saturn in the tenth house at birth. This is a very challenging position for Saturn to be especially when the Sun makes her a seeker of worldly success. It creates a heavy, cautious and jealous personality that is obsessed with wealth. Keeping big secrets that are eventually their own undoing is typical of people who have the Moon in the Twelfth House. They are clever, crafty and like to keep secrets.
Jacqueline Laurita’s Horoscope
Jacqueline Laurita (née Grippe, born April 26, 1970) is a stay-at-home mother and is married to Chris Laurita, brother of Caroline and Dina Manzo. Together, Jacqueline and Chris have two sons and daughter who has caused a great deal of drama on this show. This headstrong, materialistic lady was born in Las Vegas.
Astrologically, she has the Sun in Taurus as well as a Moon and Ascendant in Leo. This creates a very headstrong individual who is ruled by passion, rather than reason. It is likely she thinks of herself as a goddess.
After several miscarriages and pregnancy scares, which she openly and emotionally discussed on the show, Laurita gave birth to Nicholas shortly after the Season 1 Reunion show. Saturn in Capricorn in the Eighth house is probably responsible for those problems with fertility. Jacqueline’s Sun in Taurus makes having a child after she is clearly too old such an obsession.
Most of the drama of Jacqueline's character revolves around being stuck in the middle of the conflicts between her in-laws, Caroline and Dina Manzo, and former friend, Danielle Staub. Laurita was friendly with Staub during filming of the first season, but after a highly publicized falling out following the airing, she no longer remains in contact with Staub. This is typical of the stubbornness of someone with a Sun in Taurus. Once crossed, they do not tend to have much to do with the person in the future.
During Season 2, the majority of drama around Jacqueline involved her highly volatile teenage daughter, Ashley. The drama led up to one of the most infamous moments in the show's history; Ashley pulled housewife Danielle Staub's hair, causing Staub to slap Jacqueline's daughter with a lawsuit.
All of this drama can be attributed to Jacqueline having both Saturn and the Sun in the Tenth house which causes infamy, lawsuits, and social embarrassments. It does not help that these planets are in Gemini which makes her seem shallow and difficult sometimes.
One of the most startling things about these three charts is the abundance of Taurus and Leo energy in all of them. In fact, both Teresa and Jacqueline have an almost identical chart with the same Sun, Moons and Ascendants contrived in different years. Leo is a very dramatic sign and Taurus can be very war-like, so it is not surprising that there has been so much head-butting in the name of rivalry and egomania on the show. The reason they are all on a show like this is that all three housewives have clusters of planets in the tenth and eleventh houses which are both about reputation, career, and social climbing.
