There are five Mercury retrogrades and six eclipses in 2009, so this is not the greatest year for financial matters. If the news is any indication, things might only get worse.
Retrogrades basically symbolize periods of great stagnation and the inability to move forward, with the worst news being that Jupiter is retrograde all year. Jupiter is the planet of wealth, so things are going to quite difficult for many people. It is also is in the sign of Aquarius, which is a sign to do with planning for the future and investments so some stalemates, stalling, and losses are bound to occur in this area.
However, this does not mean that there are not some times during this rough year when things might be a little easier for doing things like taking out a loan, buying property, or applying for credit.
For instance, if you need help with medical bills, the asteroid Pallas, which assists with health, finally goes direct after moving backwards in Gemini for almost a full year. On this day and for about a week afterward, you might have luck securing money for medical purposes or applying for health insurance. This is especially true if you are an air sign.
The signs of Capricorn and Virgo may have a lucky day on January 24th, when it comes to investing in property or acquiring a huge loan as Mars, the warrior planet, is in a pleasant alignment to Saturn. This is a day when these signs could also benefit legally from a settlement.
A day that is luckier for all the signs is going to March 20th. This is the Spring Equinox and the day when the Sun enters the ambitious sign of Aries. However, the luck will probably only sustain itself for a couple of hours right on that day, as there are not very good planetary alignments on the 21st, 22nd or 23rd.
Saturn will turn direct after being retrograde since New Year’s of 2008 on May 16th. This will lift a lot of restrictions off many people. With regards to all signs, we may again see the lowering of interest rates or the government taking measures to take the stress off of people.
Another good day financially is June 22nd, when Venus and Mars trine Saturn and favor joint agreements, partnerships, and starting a new business. It is a favorable day for all signs, but it is especially favorable for Taurus and Virgo natives. July 1st is also a kind day, with similar vibes when Mercury, the planet of communication trines.
One of the most beneficial periods financially is for a few weeks after October 13th, when Jupiter finally goes direct. Jupiter is in Aquarius, which means that there will be good news financially for medical and social institutions or any type of structure that is beneficial for mankind, as Aquarius is the visionary of all of the signs. All signs will benefit or be given a fresh start of some kind, but Aquarians will benefit especially.
