Dating Services vs. Matchmaking Services
Dating vs. Matchmaking Services Soul Mates and Life Ties! Past life connections with soul mates, how to get in touch with your past life soul mates. What is a Dating Service?

A dating service lets members choose their own matches. A dating service generally takes on as many people as possible, and you have to go to the office and select someone you would like to meet that is also willing to meet you. Because it always involves photos, usually a small percentage of the “hottest” members get selected the most. That’s great for them, but there are lots of other great people that get overlooked.

What is a Matchmaking Service?

In a matchmaking service, professional matchmakers will match you with other members. They do all of the work for you, which is great for busy professionals. At your initial meeting, they sit down with you and get to know your personality, interests, hobbies and what you are looking for in a partner. Then, they take it from there and select someone for you to meet who they feel is compatible. Based on your criteria, the matchmaker rules out people you would not be interested in meeting. Also, the matchmakers get valuable feedback from both members after the first date, helping them to get closer to a perfect match.

What a Service Can Do For You.

A matchmaking service can make it possible to meet wonderful, high quality, like-minded people who you would not have an opportunity to meet otherwise. It can save you lots of time and energy while looking for Mr. or Mrs. Right. It can outsource your dating needs and cut right to the chase about what you are really looking for. A wonderful benefit for a woman is that you don’t have to be on the receiving end of a guy in a bar leaning over to ask the question, “Hi, do you come here often?” This “meat market” atmosphere is generally undesirable.

Both men and women can feel comfortable knowing that the service has taken into consideration what they are looking for and introducing them to only people who fit their specifications. People who are busy and really serious about finding a long-term relationship can really benefit from these types of services. Using a service can also hone your dating skills because you will be going out with many more dates than if you were left on your own.

What a Service Cannot Do For You.

A service can never guarantee that you will have chemistry with anyone you date. Sometimes clients get frustrated that they paid a large sum of money and feel they have not received the “product.” But finding the love of your life is very different from buying a car! If you want to buy a new car, you go to the dealership, hand over your money, and you have a product in your hands. Not so with a matchmaking service. When you are dealing with live human energy, chemistry cannot be predicted or promised. Just because a service will sign you up, does not mean that there is a guarantee that you will find your soul mate. It is a gamble, but well worth it if you do find the love of your life.

No one wants a 74 year old lady

What is the job of dating services? I can understand the work of matchmaking services. But still i do not prefer them. Because i will be shown lots of photos of girls in my laptop. I really feel awkward when i think that even my photo will be shown among many to the girl. I do not want that to happen.

I have not really used both because I don't really like it. Though matchmaking looks a little bit lucrative. But it is just the fact that it remains as an alternative. you couldn't really count on both of these stuffs. Most of the times people do not realize that.

Lisa, I am glad that match making services do a background check of their member and elimate people they are not sure of. I wasn't aware of that. I have used online dating services before and I know a lot of people on there never really say who and what they really are. You only know the truth after meeting them in person.

Matchmaking services are more professional sounding and looking rather than dating services. Well the thing is these two services would not guarantee anything on both sides and I haven't really had heard great experience from it.

I am all for the matchmaking service because for the most part, they screen & qualify their members looking at backgrounds & making sure of a stable financial foundation. Not to mention they have their members do personality tests to provide compatibility upfront in regards to values, attitudes, work ethic, social ability and integrity. The bar scene is not a place to find your life partner. The phone lines & internet have so many people that pretend to be one identity when in fact they are another and people are busy so there's a real lack of opportunity to meet a good quality person. We live in a scary world with a divorce rate of 58% because people lust after chemistry in the beginning and then find out down the road that the person they lusted for isn't compatible with them at all. Besides, at a matchmaking service you know that their members have made a large investment in the program for their own future happiness to eliminate game players & dysfunctional relationships. YAY for the matchmakers!

I don't really prefer these types of services. It somehow makes me think this is a little shady and you don't really know what will happen to it. I think finding it yourself and asking guidance from God is better because in this way you'll probably be safer and the reward are greater

I'm with you, Anne. I'd rather put the thought out there and see what happens. When you're too uptight about finding someone you can look a tad desperate and that's not attractive to say the least. The only reason I can see to use either a dating or matchmaking service is security. They have the person's full details on file, making dating a stranger a much safer process for you. The idea of someone ticking off boxes to label me as this or that doesn't appeal at all. I'm a free spirit!! :)

Do you believe that others can find the perfect match for you?I think others can only suggest you the partner. But its you who should confirm it. Money rules the world. So the business person may do anything as they wish for the sake of money. Do not trust them always. As said, no way chemistry can be bought by the money. So beware of choosing the partner through these services.

Anne you are right. It is called the Law of Attraction. Never underestimate the power of positive thinking. When you think positively and act accordingly, what you want usually comes to you. So what one needs to do is just know clearly what they want, believe that they deserve it and that they can have it, work towards it and be patient.
