Once, while i was visiting my dad, my mom let the dog out to go to the restroom (it was trained to not need a leash) but something caught her attention on the other side of the road. So, while my mom was looking away, foxy went into the middle of the road. then a car came up and ran her over. My mom was horrified, but, just as she began to appproach the car that stopped right over her, foxy came crawling out fom under the car. She ducked under the car just as it stopped over her. Also, after shed died 5 years later, she visited me in my dreams.

After my beloved dog a Sheltie named Gizmo suffered a terrible problem with kidney disease and eventually eye diesease and blindness. I was heartbroken to see his pain process. When I came back after seeing my new born granddaughter. He was happy to know I can back. We had to put to sleep he was hurting so bad and in so much pain. I cried so much. I prayed for a special sign from him I did not wanted him to be safe on the otherside either with apasted family memberor free to run in the animal world and be loved and protected. The next day and the entire week I was truely blessed. Gizmo and myself had a spirtual connection, We always read each others thoughts and emotions. A dog came out of no where in my back yard, a cat came the next day, a sqirrel and chipmuck scatched at my glass door, Birds came to the door and looked in and on the 7th day in the weathery February in snowy weather I thought I saw a butterly on the patio where he often laid.

My husband has been gone 5 years now. Over the years we had a variety of animals. Our mixed breed goldie was his dog, the first one of all our critters to be his. About a year before my husband was diagnosed with lung cancer Blazer would nudge at his chest much to Jim's annoyance, Jim said he should have listened to his dog. My Uncle and a friend of ours when they would visit Blazer would smell at the cancerous area and would not let anyone near them without permission. He protected them the entire time of their visit. Prior to that Jim's son died on July 4, l995 at 5:15 P.M. The following 3 years Blazer would search Jim out every July 4th at exactly 5:15P.M. he would put his head on Jim's knee for a few seconds and then just lie down next to Jim until Jim would move. Also I was lucky enough to have Blazer for almost 2 years after Jim left us. I have MS and when working in the yard if I forgot and got too hot I could not walk. I would call Blazer he would come and stiffen his body for me to brace myself up to a standing position, then he would walk me to the porch, up the 3 stairs and into the house, when I got to a chair he would be on his way. No one ever taught him this, he was not a therapy dog and we bought him when was 18 months old because the people said he was hyper. This gentle giant weighed 106 pounds and protected all the baby animals Jim raised as well as all the children on the street when they were outside playing. There must have been a very special angel inside this dog. How blessed we were to have him and how I miss him. He died July 3, 2007, I guessed he wanted to be back with Jim (his Daddy)on the 4th for the 4th of July was Jim's favorite holiday.

I always took my dog to work with me as he would get so excited to go and see the other dogs (I worked at a training facility and dog daycare). Well my husband was staying home these days because he was recovering from a surgery and was on numerous drugs for the pain; which sometimes he was forgetful and confused from the meds. One morning I went to leash up my boy and go off to work, he refused to come; so strange. Though I encouraged him with his favorite word....treats...he wouldn't budge from the bed (he slept in bed with us). So my husband had expressed how lonely he gets when I'm at work and insisted the dog wanted to stay with him. So I thought alright why not and went to work. I left at 7am and was suppose to be home by 8pm, I worked far away. This night I had to stay very late and didn't leave for home till a few hours later than expected. I had a sick feeling the last few hours of work, I just couldn't place it. I finally made it home around 11pm and all the light were still off in the house, my husband usually left them on after he got out of bed and left them on for me. I noticed nothing was done in the house as if he never left the bed. He was suppose to be staying somewhat active to build his stamina. So I was kinda upset with him for not trying. I went upstairs and was scolding him for staying in bed all day and not trying as I did everything and he sat in bed all day without even trying. Before you think I'm evil, he was almost ready to go back to work and he was capable. The lights were out and I couldn't see well and I thought he was ignoring me and he grunted as if he was trying to sleep. My dog lept out of bed and ran to me frantically, I thought he had to go out. I went downstairs and he followed and groaned at me and ran back up the stairs. Very strange for him as he always follows me ans listens. I went up to get him and mind you he is a very calm dog, he ran back and forth from me to the bedroom and started groaning and barking. He never barks. He grabbed my arm with his mouth and pulled me towards the bedroom, I then heart stopped. I ran to my husband as he was blue and making strange noises. His pills were empty next to him. He accidentally took 26 oxycodone. I ran for the phone called 911, he stopped breathing and I did CPR. Upon waiting for the ambulance I noticed his hand was drenched and sticky. My dog then began to lick his hand relentlessly, it was dog slobber. After the paramedics came they said the licking of his hand kept him stimulated probably long enough to save his life. If it wasn't for my dog that night I would have went downstairs and slept alone and never knew my husband overdosed. He saved his life and knew hours before he took the pills that it would happen. He truly is a miracle dog and has an amazing sixth sense.

My boy dogs name is Chance, who has earned his name for giving me many chances as I did for him in the begining when I adopted him. He has saved me many times, I have a disease that causes me many problems and he has always been able to alert me hours before I get very sick. Though I have grown use to this and there is one time in particular when Chance (who is beside me right now, as he never leaves my side) truly amazed me. My husband died a few years back and Chance use to adore him as he would sit very calmly with a slight tail wag as he would gaze up at my husband just waiting for attention. Well a few weeks after my husbands death I was laying in bed wondering when I would get a sign from him or when he's appear to me...just anything. I then heard a whisper in my ear saying something only my husband called me. Min's later Chance jumped out of bed and ran to the middle of the room, which was starnge that he's suddenly have energy in the middle of the night. He sat down as he had a slight tail wag and gazed up, but there was nothing there. He began to whimper which he only does when he is extremely estatic which is not often as he is very laid back and seriouse. I instantly knew and I could feel my husband there. Chance looked back at me and wagged his tail against the floor so hard I could hear the floor vibrating. He sat there as if my husband were standing before him and I know he was there. If it weren't for Chance I would have thought it was wishful thinking, I needed to know he was there. That meant the world to me. Since then this has happened a few more times.

In 2002, my brother had to put his fiancees dog to sleep because she was old and not well. His fiancee had passed away the year before. The dog was a poodle and had those paws that tapped on the floor so you knew when she was near you. One day I was in my apartment cooking when I heard those paws on the floor. I turned around expecting my friend's dog to be there, but she wasn't. It happened again. I believe it was my brother's fiancees dog.

About 10 years ago Jasmine came into our lives she was the best dog I ever had, she was my best friend for many years. When ever my husband and I would get into a heated arguement she would come sit in between us as if she was protecting me.When my granddaughter was young she would let her sleep on her and ride on her back. She over came a illness and then one day she was gone. someone had poisend her I think. Although I could not afford at that time to take her in to see what she died from I knew it was not a natural passing. Well since then I have seen Jasmine at least 2 times in my bedroom when ever things get ruff at home and I need comferting she comes to me as if to say I am here it is so clear to me I can reach out and pet her and it is as if all my stress goes away. Thank you God for my companion It makes me feel better knowing that she still watches over me. Karen

Years ago my friend and I were at The Light Center in Black Mt. North Carolina. We decided to walk a trail on the premises and before we knew it we were off track and could not find our way out. Scared but trying to laugh it off we started getting seriously worried that we'd never get out of there when suddenly the dog that stayed at the Light Center came along and lead us back to the facility. Had it not been for that dog I dare think what would have happened to us. Then this past January my brother died. After a week in the hospital and the comings and going there the very night I came home after his death, my dog Zelda didn't jump up and down and act all excited to see me. She just stood up and gave me the longest hug she'd ever given me. I know she knew I had just lost someone I loved with all my heart. And to all who know and love dogs I'm sure you will agree that she knew spiritually what had happened. Donna Rankin

I am a dragonfly freak... a day and a half after I had to put my much loved Labrador "Mousse" to sleep (he had a large tumor) I was sitting outside on the patio and saw a dragonfly buzz by. I ran in the house to get my camera and walked up the hill in the yard. I saw 2 to 3 dozen dragonflys buzzing all around me, there is no pond nearby, so I couldn't figure out why they were there, it suddenly came to me that "Mousse" sent me dragonflys to let me know that he was ok and I had made the right decision, I felt such a sense of relief and awe, he sent me a sign
