How To Build A Treasure Map |
Some people are just not visually oriented and find it a challenge to use their imagination. They also have trouble keeping their mind focused on a goal.
One way to get around this is to make what is called a treasure map. This means finding images from magazines and other sources and correlating them onto a piece of paper or into a binder.
The artistic process of making a collage is thought to be similar to the layering process that is used in creative visualization, where you continually add desired elements to the "big picture."
For instance, to build a treasure map to find an apartment, one would start cutting out images of houses, yards, apartments, furniture and swatches of their favorite colors and start pasting them onto the paper. Good sources of images are catalogs and magazines. These images function as symbols that are impressed upon the subconscious and serve to fill in the details that are lacking in the imagination.
There is a correct way of creating a treasure map. The idea is that you are trying to create synchronicity by finding images that are symbols that represent what you want in the future. For instance, if you are fed up with apartments that have small ugly bathrooms, cut out pictures of designer faucets, hot tubs, and large bathrooms that have gleaming counters, shiny fixtures, and tiles.
You can create a treasure map or a book in a day or two, or you can create one over a period of weeks, by constantly layering images onto your collage. If you have no idea how to even begin doing this, one suggestion is to lay the first image down in the center of the paper and then paste the images is in a clockwise spiral. The spiral creates a vortex shape that is thought to draw the type of energies you want towards you.
The word may be your wand, but a picture is worth a thousand words. The same principle applies to manifesting prosperity through the power of visualization and that is why making treasure maps works so well. If you picture your future as having too many possibilities, then you will always be indecisive.
If you picture the best, you will get the best visualizations work in much the same way as positive affirmations. Most of us have the bad habit of picturing the worst case scenario as our thoughts are so assaulted with "what ifs", negative comments from others, and worries. The key to manifesting prosperity through creative visualization is to learn how to suspend or hold the image in your mind by depositing it in your subconscious after you have pictured the desired goal. It is also important to visualize it as part of the treasure in as much detail as possible.
Visualize it, tell yourself it will be, and then ask the Universe to take care of it for you. It is absolutely amazing how using this treasure mapping technique; many people manage to find the supply that meets their demand.
