HI SYLVIA I DO KNOW AOUT WHAT HAPPENS TO MYPETS WHEN THEY CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE. I MISSING SHADOW SINCE 1/19/06 DONE ADN DOING EVERYTHING I CAN TO LOCATE HIM AFTER EIGN TAKEN. E ARESURE.. WITH 5 OTHERDOGS ALL HEELERS AROUND SAME TIME FRAME WITHIN FEW MILES VICINITY. I NEED TO KNOW WHERE HE IS ADNIF HE CROSSED OVER HOW ANDWHEN ADNWHO HAD HIMTO EGIN WITH.. HERE OF LATER SINCE JUST FEW DAYS FEFORE I RETURNED FROM MY TRIP TO MY DAU. OUT OF STATE 2 DOGS TURNDED UP MISSING EFORE I GOT HOME MY SONS DODG S OLDSER PUP MAYZIE ADN MY DOG MUFFIN ADNTHEN AMER MY HOUND YOUNG DOG FEMALE ADN NOW JUST 2 3 DAYS AGO IN AM BLEUZE WAS MSISSIGN HOUND. YOUNG MALE. WE DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED . NEED TO KNOW... ADNIF CROSSED WHERE CAN WE FIND THEM TO RING HOME. I HAVE READ 2 OF YUOR BOOKS ON TEH PETS. Dear Julia, I feel your pain, and your story made me so sad for both you and Springer. Springer loves you and will be there for you on the other side. Because of the fact that you realized your own actions were worng, and because I can tell you are turely sad about what you did to Springer; I beleive that Springer knows your heart is pure and true and you mean every feeling and word you wrote. I know Springer will wait for you on the other side and love you the same way he did in life. I do not condone animal abuse in any way shape or form and reading about it makes me so sad. Maybe you can show Springer how much you love him by helping out at a local "NO KILL" animal shelter and do it all in Springers name. And lastly, I'm not a doctor, but if your are so depressed that you feel you might take you life from the guilt by all means call 1-800-237-TALK its a nation sucide prevention hotline. LOVE LOLA :) U WILL BE IN MY THOUGHTS!!!!

Back in 1979 in my much younger more stupid years I was given a kitten. His name was Springer as he would jump from the floor up to my shoulders when he wanted attention. He was black and gray striped and cute as can be. Like I said, this was back in my younger days. Being a kitten and into everything, I would sometimes lose my temper with him or, if I was having a problem with relationships, I would take it out on him. I would spank him HARD if he did anything wrong and literally kick him if I didnt want to be bothered with him. It was an abusive situation. Over time, I settled down and Springer developed an eye condition where he either was to be put down or have the eye removed and a fake eye put in. I didnt want to lose him, so I opted for the artificial eye. He lasted about 2 years longer when he died at the age of 22 years old when a blood clot 'hit' his back hindquarters. While at the vet, after he received the shot to put him down, Springer stood up on his hind legs, wrapped his paws around my neck, I held him and he gently collapsed in my arms and died. I've never cried so hard in my life as I am now typing this. Now that I am older I can't help but wonder if the eye problem and the blood clot hitting his hind quarters are the results of my abusive treatment years prior. Springer has been on my mind almost every day for the past year and I cry when I think about the way I treated him. I didn't abuse him everyday, we did have our good days when he would lay next to me and we'd watch tv or he'd sleep at the foot of my bed nightly. I carry so much guilt over my abusive treatment, I now fight depression and some times think of suicide. The only reason I dont commit suicide is I now have 4 cats who are spoiled beyond belief, have never been hit, spanked, nothing. They are happy, well adjusted cats and if anyone so much as thinks about hitting or talking mean to them, I ask them to leave my house. I will not tolerate verbal or physical abuse of my animals or any animals. I have settled down quite a bit and now live for my pets more than I do any relationships I have had. My pets now come first, get the best treatment I can give them and are the joy of my life. I cannot help but wonder if Springer would or could forgive me for the treatment I showed him when I was younger. Can he find a way to forgive me? Will he be waiting for me when I pass over to the other side? Will he accept me and come to me on the other side? Will we be reunited and can I be given a 2nd chance to treat and smother him with all the love and passion I want to give him that he deserves? I did have him cremated, his ashes placed in a small box and I wanted him to be buried with me. Now I am so afraid that he will not want to be with me when my time comes. My sister has misplaced his ashes when she lived in my house, and I have no idea where they are at. This haunts me too, that I cant find him. This all is a burden that I carry so deep in my heart. I really did love him so very much, I was just too strict. Will I ever see him again, would/does he want to see me again? How do I heal from this before I honestly consider taking my life from guilt?

My pug Hamlet was the sweetest little angel in the whole world. I live in the country and let him roam free( I learned my lesson), my neighbor accidently ran over him, right in frount of my eyes. I ran in the house and my boyfriend and two sisters grabed Hamlet and we rushed to the vet. Hamlet was still alive but bleeding, he wanted to stay around for us. My middle sister was the person holding him and told Lilith to help him and at that point he shook and passed on. When we arrived to the vet he was already gone. Hamlet was the kind of soul who would go up to a child who was being picked on or teased and brighten their day, by smileing. Sylvia your books warm the soul!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Sylvia,My cat of 20 years had to be put down,her body started giving out! She new it was time to go!...while and after euthanasia,my mom saw several pets we had as children and she had through her growing up. They were gathered around to wait for Shadow ''my cat'' and in the center of them was Pegasus,and a voice was telling her everthing is okay and Pegasus is the angel for pets. She thought she wasn´t hearing correctly and asked for a sign of proof,and as we left the vet clinic a white feather was floating down out of nowhere. Her proof was there and so she told us what happened,she has always been gifted in these matters and is reluctant to share her seeings,thanks to you she is getting more comfortable talking about her gift. I think this is wonderful and want to thank you for sharing your gift with everyone! So does Pegasus meet all pets to take them home??? Thanks-again! Loving friends from Canada.

Silvia it has been a little over a year since I lost my darling Cooker spanial Cruiz. I cry still today when I think of him. Thank you for letting us all know there where abouts. I know Cruiz has sent me my pet cat Lucy and another Dog I didn't want but fell in love with in spite of not wanting him. They both have helped me to ease the pain of loosing Cruiz. They do take care of us.

My Lil Angel,"Butch"was the light of my life.He was such a good sweet Boston:)He would love to set next to us on the couch an watch TV:)The day Lil Butch went to Heaven,I was the only one at home when Butch pasted on.Butch an I had been in the back yard.When we got back into the house,My Lil Angel went under our dining table an put his lil head down an simply went to sleep.I could not stop crying.It is a gift to have our families an our pets are our lil Angels.Sweet dreams Little Butch.
