Are You An Angel This Holiday Season?
As we get ready for Thanksgiving, this is an ideal time to show your gratitude for all of the good things you have in your life. “All of the good things?” you might sniff in disgust. “But I don’t have everything I want...or even everything I need!” Counting your blessings may have you realize just how much you truly do have. Sometimes when we stop to think about all of the good things we do have in our lives, we discover that we have so much to be thankful for. Thanksgiving is a great time to be a holiday angel to someone in need.

There are so many ways you can be an angel during this holiday season. You don’t even have to join a structured volunteer program. Picking up a few extra cans of food and dropping them off at a local soup kitchen is a very easy way to be a holiday angel. Giving your old winter coats to a homeless shelter is another way to be a holiday angel. Thinking of someone else and doing something that may be very easy for you to do or give something that you already have and someone can put it to good use.

You can also be a holiday angel simply by bringing cheer to those that you meet. Be friendly to your elderly neighbor and ask her if you can pick up some groceries for her when you go out. Call some old friends you haven’t spoken to in awhile. Smile at people you see as you commute to and from work. Perform a random act of kindness. There are so many ways you can be a holiday angel for someone. You could make someone’s holiday season very special!

We love helping out people during the holidays, Thanksgiving we donate food for the Boy Scouts, that they collect that goes to people in need, christmas we also buy extra food and toys for the children, doing this every year is so joyful to us , I feel if you have to much, give, give knowing that this will put a smile on each and everyone face, that is enough. I do alot of baking for Christmas, each year I keep saying to cut back on the baking, because I am in the kitchen early morning to late at night just baking and don't much time for to enjoy Christmas, but when I start planning on what I am going to make I keep making my list longer not shorter, but its worth it when you see the joy on their faces, I give to people at my church, plus other places that we have contact with in business and friends, so to me seeing the warm smile and a hug, that to me is a gift a wonderful gift, and as long as God willing,I will keep doing this.
