Meeting My Angel - And Why I Switched to Decaf

Hello, my name is Abby Beal and I am the moderator for the Angel Blog. This blog is all about angels! We hope that you will share your thoughts and experiences about angels with us.

I always knew that angels existed—but didn’t really think so much about them until I was twenty-five. It was then that I was introduced to my angels.

I was getting ready for work one morning when I heard a voice say “don’t go to work!” I was very startled, because I knew I heard the voice, but it wasn’t an actual voice. I ignored it and kept getting ready. I heard it again: “don’t go to work today!” except this time two hands held me quite still so I couldn’t move. I was pretty shaken up—I decided I better drink decaf coffee that day!

Work that day was pretty routine; I was a secretary at the time. I took my lunch break and the office manager asked me to run an errand.

Driving back to the office, I turned the wheel to go into the office parking lot and as I turned the wheel—WHAM! A truck hit me from behind. My car sped through the parking lot. I knew these moments were happening in mere seconds, but they felt like a whole hour long. I could feel hands holding me across the chest as the car flew across the parking lot. My brakes weren’t working. I pulled the emergency brake and the car stopped inches before hitting the brick wall we all parked next to.

Shakily I got out of the car to survey the damage. My trunk was pretty banged up. The truck driver took one look at me getting out of the car and drove away. I could hear an ambulance siren in the distance and realized it was coming for me. People started pouring out of our office complex.

After that experience I understood with my whole heart that there were truly angels. I started taking workshops and reading books to learn more about angels, spirituality and metaphysics.

Well, that is my first angel story. I am sure you have some angel stories too. When did you meet your angels?

My mom used to go into severe depressions for long periods of time. Once she was laying on my bed, while I was at school, and she said that she just felt so sad and lonely, and she asked God why she was so alone all the time. She said that it felt as if a person put their arms around her. the warmth of it. And a balloon that I had gotten from someone, floated across the room to where she was and then floated down to her eye level, and one the balloon was written, Somebody loves YOu!!! And she really felt like God had just sent her a couple of angels to hug her and to show her that she was NOT alone and that she was loved.

Yeah i think it feels great if you can see them and talk to them everyday.=) i would love to have an angel friend whom i can see and talk to everyday. Because sometimes i really would like to thank them and see what they will say.

Thanks maylin. But for me I feel it's still cooler if I see them and not just feel what they do. I am a very introvert type of person and maybe an angel at my side would make me a more open one.

Great story Melvin. Yeah, the angels saved your brother's life. and it is good to know that they are always there watching over us and guiding us in everything we do. so we just have to believe in them.

This is a great story, I believe in angels as well and I am glad that your angel kept you safe in your accident. That is truly a big miracle.

I don't have an angel story but my little brother has. So when my brother was just 3 years old he fell from the stairs. Everyone was panicking then and I can imagine my mom's reaction. Each member was hysterical. My brother cried and was immediately brought to hospital. We were all shocked when the doctor said nothing happened. And I guess there's an angel who saved his life. The rest was history.

Hi Sylvia and everyone: I always see two angles as there can be more than one ways in life as always. Both telling their own ways and also suggesting the advantages of their path.

Nina, as I read your story, it reminded me of one my mother has told me. It happened to her when she was pregnant with my sister. I was only about 3 years old at the time. We were home alone and she was on the back porch doing something. She was a full 8 months pregnant at the time, and the porch on that house was really high. Anyway, she had stumbled and fell off the side of the porch. As she started to fall, she twisted around thinking that if she fell on her back maybe it wouldn't hurt the baby too badly. Just before she hit the ground she said it felt like she was caught and gently set on the ground. She wasn't jarred or hurt at all. She couldn't believe it but she insists that 2 big hands caught her midfall and set her down so she wouldnt' loose the baby.
