Meeting My Angel - And Why I Switched to Decaf

Hello, my name is Abby Beal and I am the moderator for the Angel Blog. This blog is all about angels! We hope that you will share your thoughts and experiences about angels with us.

I always knew that angels existed—but didn’t really think so much about them until I was twenty-five. It was then that I was introduced to my angels.

I was getting ready for work one morning when I heard a voice say “don’t go to work!” I was very startled, because I knew I heard the voice, but it wasn’t an actual voice. I ignored it and kept getting ready. I heard it again: “don’t go to work today!” except this time two hands held me quite still so I couldn’t move. I was pretty shaken up—I decided I better drink decaf coffee that day!

Work that day was pretty routine; I was a secretary at the time. I took my lunch break and the office manager asked me to run an errand.

Driving back to the office, I turned the wheel to go into the office parking lot and as I turned the wheel—WHAM! A truck hit me from behind. My car sped through the parking lot. I knew these moments were happening in mere seconds, but they felt like a whole hour long. I could feel hands holding me across the chest as the car flew across the parking lot. My brakes weren’t working. I pulled the emergency brake and the car stopped inches before hitting the brick wall we all parked next to.

Shakily I got out of the car to survey the damage. My trunk was pretty banged up. The truck driver took one look at me getting out of the car and drove away. I could hear an ambulance siren in the distance and realized it was coming for me. People started pouring out of our office complex.

After that experience I understood with my whole heart that there were truly angels. I started taking workshops and reading books to learn more about angels, spirituality and metaphysics.

Well, that is my first angel story. I am sure you have some angel stories too. When did you meet your angels?

Hello all here at Spirit Now, I have had a couple experiences from Angels helping me in this lifetime. One story I have story goes like this: In 2003 my boyfriend ( Husband I call him) passed away from Esophagus Cancer, he was only 39 yrs old. It was devastating for me that he had died so soon after being diagnosted and so soon after we had just moved in together for the 1st time.. He had bought us a big house here in Colorado, bigger house than I had ever lived in. Well one day I was spraying all the weeds around the side of our house in a rock area we have. We have these huge window wells around our house for the basement window areas and I was walking backwards spraying the weeds. I knew the window well was there but, I guess I didn't pay much attention at the time. I was thinking of all I have to do around here now and how hard it was for me to take care of this big house by myself with my son and daughter( not his). Well I was still spraying the weeds and took a step backwards and found myself teeter tottering on the edge of the window well. Out of nowhere I felt some hands on my back and they pushed me forwards. I stubbled forward and stood there in shock at what had just happened. I turned back to see if it was my son but, no one was there with me. I looked at the window well and noticed that if I would of fell in there, the way I would of fell, I would of broke my neck when I hit the other side of the window well. It would of killed me, I just know it.. My son wouldn't of found me for a while and when he did, he would of found me dead.. I know that an Angel was there to push me away from harm, I just know and feel it in my heart and soul... They are with all of us always and won't let anything bad happen to us , mostly when it is not our time to go Home yet. I feel them with me all the time. I have never seen one yet but, Don't really have to, I feel they are there and that's all I need... Thank you all for hearing my story. I pray that all of you feel your Angels with you too. I surround all on this board and all in the world with The White Light of the Holy Spirit, may you all be comforted by God ( Mother & Father) and all of your Angels for your lifetime here... Love & Light to all Nina

wow, very inspiring story Cathy. even if i have not really experienced such inspiring stories like yours, i still believe in angels. i know we are really guided and God will always be there for us also and He loves us so much that is why He sent angels to guide us always.

In 1985 I was VERY pregnant with my 1st child. I was driving to work on a rural road at a very dark 6AM. A car came over the hill in front of me and was traveling head-on into my lane with no lights on. Seconds from impact, I heard a voice that told me "drive into the trees." Unable to move with fright, I felt two hands grasp my hands and sharply turn the steering wheel of my car into the trees on the right side of the road. A split second later the other car whizzed by my drivers side missing mine by a fraction of an inch. My car was scratched up on the right by tree branches, but stopped short of catastrophe. Shaken, but more aware, I KNOW I, and my daughter, were guided to safety by angelic hands.

wow, what an amazing story. there are times when i also experience what you had experienced. but in my case, i think it is just my head, saying a lot of things. but with your experience, i think that was really your angel who whispered to you. your angel knew what will happen that day. your angel just wanted to keep you away from harm.

Angels dont' predict the future, but God does know the future. Angels are His messengers. He does send them with messages of caution for us sometimes and sometimes they even step into the path of danger and shield us from it. And that is pretty awesome. But it's not just the angel that does it. God sends them out.

Wow, quite the story. I never knew that Angels could predict the future, though, I wonder why it just said "Don't go to work" instead of telling you that an accident would happen.

That certainly was an angel. I have had 2 experiences but it was my husband that actually was behind the wheel both times. Once he was sick and I was VERY pregnant with our son and we were coming home from my parents house. All of a sudden a vehicle in the other lane swerved toward us and into our lane. It happened so quickly that I didnt' understand what had happened until it was over. My husband was sick and moving in slow motion, but at that moment, he jerked the wheel to the side, we hit the shoulder and then the grass and the other car barely missed us by a few inches. My husband didn't even know how he reacted so fast. I knew that in that instant, we should have been dead, but that we had been spared, and that an angel had guided his hands at that very monent.

I do not know if it was my angel or my daughter’s angel that I saw that morning. I was pregnant with my daughter. The due date was 10 days late and feeling already uncomfortable sleeping on and off. It was a Monday morning around 7am, I turned to change positions and my eyes opened for a moment but in that moment I saw a girl floating in the corner of my bedroom. I closed my eyes for a fraction of a second just to realize that she was there, so I opened my eyes thinking once I look again she will no longer be there. But to my surprise she was, she looked like she was sitting on the side, she had long wavy blond hair with a white robe that I could not see the bottom of the robe because it was blur from that point to the floor. She has a sad look on her face. As I looked at her she slowly disappeared and right after she was gone I started to bleed making me realize that I needed to get to the hospital because the baby was on her way. I had my daughter the next day. I still wonder why she was there. Was it to tell me that my baby was on her way or was it to tell me something???

So many wonderful stories of angel experiences here! It makes my heart glad. Does anyone ever think about why though some people seem to have to experience a life-threatening situation before finally acknowledging angels may indeed be a reality? So much of the mystery of life defies explanation and yet we sometimes still feel the need for that personal experience to affirm it, the " I'll believe it when I see it" outlook. I'm not saying that's the case of everyone here, just making an observation.

I know that angels are everywhere, like God is always beside us. I read your comments but I know by heart that all of us have our own angels. Everyday is a miracle to consider; just as I thought that I would have no money left to be spent before pay day someone would come along and give us money for our extra effort in our work. It’s just mere thinking that someone would be a philanthropist so that I have still money to spend before the payday. I think, angels do really exist and can read mind because this things happened many times already in my life.
