Why I Don’t Worship Angels
Some people that hear that I talk to angels look a little uncomfortable. They think that I “worship” angels in some way; that I must consider angels a religion. But that is untrue.
Angels can be religious and they are found in many of the world’s religions. Christianity, Judiasm, Hinduism, Zoastrianism and the Muslims all have angels. Some who are quite passionate about the study of angels call this study angelogy. That is simply “the study of angels.” But it is not the worship of angels.
The definition of “angel” is simply to be God’s messenger. I like this definition a lot because I think it also explains our relationship with angels quite well. They are messengers of God. So we do not see them as the Divine, but as messengers of the Divine.
This is not a religious forum and I personally respect all religions. It does concern me a bit when people hear that I talk to angels and they think in some way that I am worshiping the angels—because this is very much not the case.
What about you—do you consider yourself an angelogist? What do you think an angel’s role or duties are?

Melvin, it is also a blasphemy in my religion to worship angels and anything other than God. We should believe in them and admire them though.
Maylin, a lot of people know that we should only worship God but they still prefer to worship other things. There are people who even worship Satan. Human beings can be strange at times

Yes it is true Melvin. We should only worship one God. But we can not blame people who do worship angels. but i also think that people don't worship angels because they know that we should only worship our God. Angels are just messengers and they are God's instruments.

I did not know that Green. Well in general we can say that we believe in angels and we love them. But worshiping them like what we do to God is just not right. It's a blasphemy to do that. But I do believe that we can admire and adore angels, just not worship him and put above God.

No I do not believe myself to be an angelogist. In my religion we believe in angels and we do not worship them too. In some of our religious books there are stories of angels being sent to certain people to deliver messages. We also believe that every human being is assigned angels who record all their deeds and that at the time of death, angels come to take the soul out of the body.

Very well said Crystal. You are right, there is nothing wrong with being materialistic because there are really a lot of things that we need and want. But that should not be a barrier for you to place God above all. He will always be our priority and being materialistic won't affect that.=)

Yes Melvin. You know sometimes we think that it is hard to put God above all. For me, i always try to thank God if i receive blessings. But there are also times when i become so selfish that i forget to call and talk to God. I am just human and i am not perfect. nobody is. but i know God do understand that.

I think that we all yearn for the material things to an extent. And I dont' think that there is anything wrong with having them. It's just when we put them ahead of God in our lives that it becomes a bad thing. I watch tv, talk on the cell phone, play on the computer, etc. None of that is bad. It's only when I do those things to excess and leave God in the background that it is wrong. It is the same with anything. And it is easy to do with something like angels, because they are from Heaven. They are supernatural, and part of the spirit world. We just have to be careful and make sure we know who we have placed first.

But I really agree that's a hard task. I'm a pretty materialistic person and I easily yearn for gadgets and other stuffs. But at the end when I feel I don't like those things anymore I always say "that's why God is always above, because you'll always need him forever"

Thank you Crystal. Yeah i agree Melvin. We should always put God above all. And we will not go wrong. Putting Him in our priority list will help us lead the right way. and He will guide us through. He will always protect, love and guide us.

Put God above all. It's in the bible, isn't it? But I'm sure many people do not even know this. I like the point of Crystal. You can worship God and only God. Putting someone over him, even an angel is blasphemous. So another sad thing is people worship material things.
