Divination Using A Pendulum |

A pendulum can be made from almost anything. Typically it is a chain with a stone or piece of metal on one end and a small ball or loop on the other called a lob.
Using a pendulum to get answers to specific questions is a form of dowsing; an age old system to find water and gold. Today, pendulums can be used to find out future events, the gender of a baby before it is born, health issues and a myriad of other things.
The belief is that pendulums pick up vibrations and energy from people, thoughts, and objects. The pendulum acts as a bridge between the dowser and the Universal Consciousness.
You can purchase or make a pendulum. It is best to cleanse and charge your pendulum before use. There are several ways to cleanse a pendulum; placing it in the sun, sea salt and water, smoke with sandalwood or frankincense. After cleansing hold your pendulum in your left hand and meditate on it or say a clear prayer asking for use of the pendulum with light and love.
Hold your pendulum between your thumb and first finger. You need to determine which direction is yes and no. You can ask questions you know the answers to and see which direction will represent yes or no. You can, also, purchase a pendulum pad to put under the pendulum on a table. Sitting and holding the pendulum between your legs is a good “waiting” position to settle the pendulum before asking a question.
