Do Our Spirit Guides Help Us Psychically?
by Sylvia Browne
Anyone who knows me just a little—already knows all about Francine. Francine is my beloved Spirit Guide who has been with me since I was young. Francine is not just my Spirit Guide, I consider her a wonderful companion and friend. When you get to know your Spirit Guide—you form a special bond like no other.
But many have wondered if Spirit Guides give us psychic information. Your Spirit Guide can certainly help with your life chart and the lessons that come into your life. But their purpose in your life is not to offer you psychic information. Your ability to be psychic is a connection between you and God, not between you and your Spirit Guide.
That being said, your Spirit Guide can often offer you great wisdom and assistance. It can be extremely useful to listen to what your Spirit Guide has to say when they speak of your life. I speak to Francine every night before turning in for bed about the course of my life and I listen to what she has to say.
Do you communicate with your Spirit Guide? What has your Spirit Guide told you about your life that has been useful?
Sylvia Browne is without question, "America's #1 Psychic," an internationally known psychic and medium.

I agree with you Jennifer. When i first heard about spirit guide, i already thought of it as a connection to God. I think that our spirit guides are the ones who are guiding us and making us feel that there is a God. and it is good to know that we are receiving a lot of guidance.

Do you answer these questions? i think that you are a wonderful person and thank God that you have helped so many people. I would like some help learning my spirit guide's name and my animal totem. I have been trying for years to make amends with some family members, since my father's death. Whenever I think that I am becoming successful, they turn and reject me and my children again. It is heartbreaking and so many times I have tried to forget and move on. I love all of my family very much. Please help by answering. God bless you and Chris. Love, Gio

I believe your spirit guide is your direct messenger from God and that speaking to both of them are crucial. It's not that you don't or can't have advice and love from God but what's wrong with having extra love and guidance?

That is an interesting point Crystal. We do need to be careful who we listen to and I love when you used the phrase "Voice of Truth". We do have evil whispering to us as well so it is important to know the difference.

Melvin, there is a BIG difference between the Holy Spirit and a spirit guide. For one thing, a spirit guide, (for those who have them and believe that is okay) can be a man or woman, a child or adult or whatever. It is a spirit that comes to you. I'm not too sure on all the aspects, but I have read about it, and come from an occultic background, therefore, I do not believe in doing that. But that is my personal belief and I won't go into why here.
The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity. In Heaven with God, the Holy Spirit is part of the Godhead. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. When a person accepts Jesus Christ as their personal savior they receive a portion of the Holy Spirit. In other words, He will reside in them and help them and guide them. So, yes, in someways they are the same in that they do the same thing, but they are very different beings. The Holy Spirit speaks to me and guides me. Sometimes it is just a fluttering in my chest and stomach and I know what it means. Sometimes I really hear Him inside of me. He guides me.

I'm again confused. What is the difference between Spirit Guides and the Holy Spirit? Are they just the same? Well for me I always believe that the Holy Spirit is in our hearts. And most of the time it's just how we let them affect ourselves and how are we able to use them.

who is my spirit guide, how come i can't even tell if i've communicated with them in anyway. i can't feel it. i really dont understand why i am having such a hard time with it, i feel other thing in my stomach that usually come to pass, it's usually bad though, sometimes i know when something is going to happen once again through my stomach and can go to what ever that happening may be and sure enough it is going on. why then can i not feel or connect with my spirit guide. i truly need advice - well, elizabeth, i think you need more concentration. and all of us really don't know who are spirit guide is. but if you come to communicate to God and ask Him something you really want to know, then maybe He will give you answers to your questions. just try to believe

That is very true Crystal. For me, it does not matter who we think as our spirit guide. Having God in my life in enough and i know that He will always guide and protect me. He is my guide and i believe in Him so much.

I know that people do have spirit guides, but I do not believe that we really should. That is just my own personal belief. I believe that the Holy Spirit is my guide, and that He is the only guide that I need. I know that God speaks to me through the Holy Spirit, and that God uses angels as well. We have to be careful what voice we listen to sometimes. We need to listen to the Voice of Truth. And make sure that it is the right one.
