Ghost Busting 101 |

Well, I have finally found a new frontier on the road to metaphysics. I went Ghost Busting led by a Paranormal Investigator. We weren’t on TV but it was fun, anyway.
Ghost Busting is actually a very serious thing and should not be taken lightly. Ghost Busting requires safety and knowledge. You may open a doorway to something far bigger than you are.
The basics to Ghost Busting:
You need to secure (get permission) a haunted location. You must research the location and find out as much. For example, were there any deaths, murders, suicides, fires, and ghostly activity on the site? Make sure you get permission to release what you find.
On a team there is a case manager, research manager, technical manager and a lead investigator. No Paranormal team goes out without equipment that can document what they find. The advancements in technology have made Paranormal investigating so much easier to document.
Some important equipment:
1. Digital Camera, digital recorder, flash light, watch, and notebook.
2. Advanced equipment: EMF detectors, video camera with infra red night vision, motion detector, paranormal puck, and wireless audio.
The EMF detector will light up when there is a spike in energy. Scans must be run before the investigation to show where hot spots are, like computers. Digital recorders with night vision can see a whole lot. The most common things found are disembodied voices picked up by the recorder, usually heard upon later review. Orbs and mist which is usually seen on video play back.
It is important to protect yourself with a white light and a prayer to Angel Michael before going on a site. Spirits like to follow people home. They will leave but why get caught up in that! Remember find a professional.
