I always listen to my son's dreams. It gives me some insight on what he is worried about and on what his anxieties are. It is amazing what you can learn about your kids through their dreams. It makes it easier to open up discussions into lots of issues that you might have trouble getting started otherwise.

Patricia, did your son start dreaming about his friend as it got closer to the anniversary of his death? Often our internal clock remembers things and begins to bring back memories and feelings from the year, or years before around that time. It may also be his subconsience trying to deal with his friends passing a little better. If his friend was trying to get a message across to him, like a warning. Perhaps he should try writing te dream down as soon as he wakes up and see if there is a common denomimator to the different dreams.

Yeah, that is really scary Patricia. Maybe the soul of your son's best friend wants to tell him something. i am not sure what it is. but i think because your son's best friend didn't graduate, and your son has made it, i guess he just wants to let your son know that his bes friend is really happy for him. but that is not the point. i know there is something that your son needs to know.

It's sounding a little scary to me Patricia. Well maybe that certain friend wants to say something or maybe wants him to act on some things. Is that guy still alive? Does your son still see him? You're right there is a message that his former classmate wants to send to your son

My son keeps dreaming about his best friend that past about a year ago. My son told me first he saw his friend at the entrance of their old highschool, then in the cafateria. My son is now in college but his friend past before he was able to graduate from highschool, but my son did graduae from highschool in 2007. My question is what is the message his friend is trying to tell my son concerning school? Why is my sons dream still at their old highschool?

Same here Melvin. They say that people have 50 dreams every night but they can only recall some. in my case, sometimes i do not recall all my dreams in one night but often, i can recall only one to two dreams that i have had. but still, we should always ask our children about their dreams. this will help them form a bond between you and also their spiritual life.

You know sometimes my cousin tells me that he had a dream, only to say that he cannot recall what it is all about. Sometimes it's hard to recall dreams. In my case, I just remember a certain dream after few hours of being awake. Maybe what most people are also experiencing.

My child is just three years old and sometimes she does wake up and talk about doing or having gone certain places. But I don't think she can differential between her dreams and what happens in real life.
