Helping Your Children With Their Dream Lives

by Sylvia Browne

How many times has your child told you about an amazing and unusual dream they had last night? Or perhaps they have mentioned that they visited with Grandma who is now living on The Other Side. Children are just like adults in that they have rich and vivid dreamlives. Being open to helping your child understand their dreams is a real gift.

We all travel to The Other Side occasionally during our dreams. This is after all, where we used to live. We chose to come to Earth to live for awhile before returning to The Other Side. So it makes perfect sense that we would become sentimental for our true home during our stay on Earth. If your child tells stories of visiting a place with magnificent buildings and large libraries and many people that all seem familiar—they very well may have traveled to The Other Side during their dreams.

Simply listening to your child’s dreams is so helpful to them. Asking them questions to help them get more information from their dream is very useful. It is best not to make definite statements about their dreams—let the child explain what they think they were dreaming about. This relationship can be so helpful for your child’s spiritual life!

What type of dreams have your children had? Do you think your children remember their dreams?

Sylvia Browne is without question, "America's #1 Psychic," an internationally known psychic and medium.

Hi Sylvia, I just wanted to say thank you for all you have done for so many people in the world. You know how many of us love you and have been inspired by your teachings. Thank you, thank you, thank you. My grandson (3 years of age) has what I call sleep terrors. He wakes up every night, not usually at the same time, screaming, crying and swaying from side to side. He is not awake. I have, on many occasions, tried talking to him, praying for him and telling him that he is safe and doesn't have anything to be afraid of. Is is negative cell memory he is experiencing or is there something physically wrong? I love you, Elaine

dreams are very important to us. and i think when our children dreams about something about something, we should always guide them and try to let them share their dreams. because it is good to talk about your child's experiences as a person and also help them understand about so many things in this life.

Hi Sylvia. Yeah, i really think listening to our child's dreams is really a good way for them to know about many things. talking to them about their dreams will also make them become more aware of their spiritual side.

For many years when my son was little he used to see a woman all the time who he said played with him and gave him peace. I thought maybe she was his spirit guide but after doing research I found out most of the people on his dads side saw her too (regardless of their ages). This family has a very violent background. I was wondering why he stopped seeing her shortly after he stopped seeing his dad and family.Due to abuse and other safety reasons. Was she there as a protection for him and if she was all I can say is THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH

Help! My middle daughter (ten years old) had terrible night terrors for almost two years. Now the "terrors" are gone, but her sleep is not restful. If I disturb her after she is alseep, she starts talking in her sleep and she is always very irritated, frustrated and full of rage - like she can't get someone to either do what she is telling them to do, or get them to understand what she is saying. She doesn't sleep well, and I need to know what if anything I can do for her. She is very irritable and has a very short fuse when she is awake also. Are the two things related? I worry about what her life will be like if she can't work through this. My older daughter went through the same thing when she was around the same age. She described it as everything going too fast. She started sleeping with music, and to this day (six years later), she cannot sleep without music because she is afraid it will happen again. Please help.

I am certain children remember their dreams. I still have quite a few vivid memories of my own from over thirty years ago but don't ask me to remember what I had for lunch yesterday! To Elaine who asked what does it mean when you and your child dream the same dream on the same night, I would say it's definitely a message dream. When you dream the same thing, it gets you both talking, you see. Examine it closely and see what the message is. It can be as simple as a loved one letting you know they're around. They take out the added "insurance" of giving you both the same dream so you won't easily forget it. That's just my humble opinion.

I have a two year old and she is just starting to dream. Or at least she is just now aware of dreaming. She is not able to tell us what they are about yet. But I remember some very interesting dreams that I had as a child and no longer have as an adult. They were family oriented so I am anxious to see if she has the same ones.

Sylvia, Speaking of children Sylvia. I went to your website sylvia.org to leave a couple names on your prayer site and I just wanted to say your son Chris is so handsome. Such a beautiful smile and such beautiful eyes. I know the spirit is about what's inside and what's important. Love you, Kathryn Blessings to you and Chris!!!! Question-you mentioned surrounding people with the white light of the holy spirit. Does this have to be done on an individual basis or can you say please surround my neighborhood with the white light or please surround the city of Long Beach with the white light or please surround the world with the white light. And if I have people at work that I think might be a little troubling to me, should i surround these people with the white light everyday or is it a one time thing or ? Thanks for all the stuff you are teaching us that we wouldn't normally be learning in our day to day lives. Do you know my spirit guides name, my theme or my animal totem? Kathryn
