Spirit Guides: Do They Give Psychic Information?

Spirit Guides can help you with your chart, your lessons, and your life in general, but their purpose is not to infuse you with psychic abilities. That gift comes from God, and it's your vehicle through which the record of your life (and others' lives) can be accessed. Can a guide tell your future? Yes...if he or she is standing right there reading your chart. But when you're attempting to be precognitive, it should be between you and God. That's why even though I hear what Francine has to say, I also ask God before I go to sleep to talk to me or infuse me with knowledge so that I do the right thing and stay on my chart.

In addition, throughout all my years of research -- not only with my own clients, but through the study of other mediums such as Edgar Cayce, Margaret Leonard, Douglas Johnson, Arthur Ford, and others -- not one of them, including myself, can honestly say that we've gotten much verbal psychic help for ourselves. The guides seem to be virtual fountains of knowledge for others, but not for us.

Spirit Guides don't give us Lotto numbers, or great insights into our future. Certainly guides will nudge us and give us some advice, and they talk to the Council and help us behind the scenes with different situations, but as far as giving us personal, hard-core data -- never! Now, Francine will give me information about Novus Spiritus and pass on spiritual knowledge, which helps, and she'll also answer specific personal questions in trance sessions for those who ask her...but not for me.

It's almost as if mediums are in a tube that allows information to come in for everyone else, but not for us. If you consider this concept further, it makes sense, because if spirit guides verbally instructed us every step of the way, we'd never make mistakes -- and therefore we'd never learn. If I do encounter anyone who gets specific day-to-day guidance, I'm suspicious, because life doesn't work that way. What would be the purpose of coming down to this earthly plane if everything always went perfectly? Mediums have to take their knocks just like everyone else.

Spirit Guides can certainly offer guidance and insight, but they do not give us psychic information.

 Hi Sylvia, I know I have heard from my Spirit Guide, Jennelle, twice in my lifetime. I mean actually heard her voice, not a high pitch but an actual voice. Once I was worrying about the end of the earth after reading one of your book and I heard, "Do not be afraid", I stopped and looked around my bathroon and realized I had heard a voice. The next time I was in bed and the only thing I heard was my name, "Irene", just as clear as a bell and again I figured I had heard from Jennelle. The other thing I do feel is when I make a hard won decision that took me awhile to actually say to myself, "I really need to quite work.", it was like someone was saying "hurrah, alright, you finally made up your mind.  Hi Sylvia, I was wondering if information that should not be shared gets interrupted by the other side for persons who, like myself, don't have a clear understanding of what is happening. Sometimes when I am talking to one person about my interaction with another person to illustrate a point or show that the belief system that I am building for myself is legitimate, the phone cuts out or there is a disruption of some kind and I'm wondering if that is a sign to me to shut up. I thought I was building bridges with possible like minded people but I am afraid that what I'm doing is in reality bragging or gossiping. I know intent is very important and consciously my intent is to connect ideas and experiences to reaffirm and cement my belief and establish relationships with like minded people. Is there a guideline of ethics that make things a little clearer so that this gray area is not slipped into or is this a fine line that is always present in establishing ones personal connection with the Other Side? It would be very enlightening to maybe hear your thoughts on one of your up coming web classes. If this question is crossing the line I apologize. Your wealth of knowledge and love for humanity has touched my world profoundly. God certainly sends the help one needs when one learns to get out of their own way.  Is "Janice" my spirit guide, and how can i communicate with her??? (I had a psychic tell me once at a psychic fair that she was around me, and I don't know any other Janice's that would be in spirit form) I have so longed to try to talk to my guide(s) Are they the strangers in my dreams that are always the folks I don't know? I think i have accidentally offended them out of ignorance, and am afraid they don't want to talk to me! Help! Also, forgive me for being greedy, but will my life ever improve? I feel everything I ever wanted or tried to live for was moot, and try so hard not to let my current situation get the best of me...I try to believe it is my path, that I charted it, and it's God's will and all, but it doesn't feel very good, I feel worthless, there is no validation, no real people, I still try to be a good person, but I am unable to do what i used to in trying to help folks.  I keep getting the number (1)--99% of the time it is 11:11...I am really puzzled at this...If I had one wish to make today. I would wish my spirit guide would appear and give me some much needed guidance. I cant take the pain much longer. I'll be listening..Thank you for just being here. Love Sheree
