The Birth of the Knights Templar
by Sylvia Browne
I’ll admit that I’ve been curious about many of the secret societies that have existed in our world. Powerful people have belonged to these mysterious organizations that for many years we have not had knowledge about. One of those organizations that is well known is the Knights Templar.
From my research, I have learned that although this became a secret society later, it did not begin this way. Some historians say they first began in 1099, others say they began in 1111 and others still say they got their start in 1118. So we know the Knights Templar existed a long time ago.
My Spirit Guide Francine says that the Knights Templar was founded in about 1099 under a different name by a man known as Godfrey de Bouillon. He was one of the leaders of the Crusade. He founded the Knights Templar when Godfrey captured Jerusalem in 1099 and accepted the title “Protector of the Holy Sepulchre.” A group of a dozen knights then evolved into the Knights Templar, following Godfrey’s death in July 1110.
These knights then founded the “Order of the Poor Knights of Christ and the Temple of Solomon.” It is said that they were to protect any pilgrims who were traveling to the Holy Land.
The Knights of Templar became quite wealthy. It is thought that they eventually disbanded and the remaining knights joined different orders such as the Knights Hospitaller, the Knights of Christ in Portugal and the Knights of Montessa in Spain. Francine has told me that the remaining Templars did indeed assimilate into other orders, secret societies and that some Templars still continue their activities in secret. She claims that some have reincarnated into our present-day world to give us the truth about Christ.

I just know that this group is known in protecting Christian pilgrims who were en route to the Holy Land to visit the shrines sacred to their faith. And it has also been generally accepted that, for the first nine years of their existence, they are consisted of nine members. but i really don't know many things about these knight templars.

The Knights Templar were pretty much crushed to bits when the Church got sick of them. They accused them of sodomy, heresy, and everything else that would set the church up in arms.

That is very interesting. I have always been intriged by secret societies and been curious to know what they do when they meet. I have heard about the masons and other secret societies but I've never heard of the Knights Templar. I wonder what the purpose of their society is.

This is a really amazing article. I have not heard and I am not aware about this knights templar. thank you for sharing this Sylvia. And i think that i would agree with the last sentence that some have reincarnated into our present-day world to give us the truth about Christ. We may not notice it but i know that they are made to share what they want us to know about Christ.

Hi Sylvia, I have not had an opportunity to read your book on Secret Societies, however, I am looking forward to it soon. My great-grandfather was a 32nd degree Mason and my grandfather and his son (my father) were also Mason's though I am not sure of the degree. Thank you for your words of love and inspiration. May your day be filled with Love & Light. ~Anastasia

I so enjoyed your Secret Societies book. My son also read it. He wants to become a Mason. My grandfather and father were both Masons. I remember stories my mother would tell of my grandfather meeting men one on one in the middle of an open field and having a book that had many words blacked out. I do not know what ever happened to his book, I assume he passed it on when it was time. My father was never an avid Mason however so I cant get much information about it. My grandfather was a very quiet man and never spoke of it to us at all. Thank you for writing this book and giving us some more insight to the many orders of today. I have all of your books and have enjoyed each of them and have learned so much from them. Your writing makes a person feel as though you are sitting on a sofa with them talking instead of sitting there reading a book. Thank you!. You have truely helped change my life.
Much love always.. blessings and light.. Robin
