The Healing Power of Jasper
by Carla Blaha

Jasper is an amazing stone. It has many different looks and comes in an array of colors such as red, orange, yellow and tan. It has been long been recognized throughout history as the “Power Stone.”  In ancient Egypt, it was worn as a protective amulet. Native Americans believe Jasper has magical powers.

This is the stone for courage. It is said one can feel more independent and have greater courage while wearing Jasper.

It is a stone that is used to balance the Chakras. Jasper comes in such a variety of colors that there is a Jasper stone to match each one of the main of Chakras. Because Jasper is so good at balancing it really helps with one’s emotions and stress. It can be helpful in the recovery from illness and addictions. It works slowly but steadily.

Jasper is used in the home or office to help create balance in the environment.

Jasper has many physical healing properties. Often people use Jasper to aid in the healing of the liver, the kidneys, the bladder, and the spleen.

Cleansing and Charging

Many people have their own method to cleanse stones and they use what feels best to them.  Depending upon the stone there are different ways to cleanse and charge that stone.

One of the popular ways to cleanse Jasper is to put it in warm water. To charge Jasper you should place it in a natural bowl with a quartz or hematite. It is important to note that when working with Jasper the Moon Phase is important. Jasper charges best on or near the full moon. Leave the stones over night facing under the moonlight in order to pick up the Moon’s energy.

Enjoy!

Oh, I'm definitely going to try this. I like the idea of using moonlight to cleanse the stone. As soon as I find one, I'll report back on how it's working.
