Ahhhh, the infamous Ouija board. Séances, in smoke filled rooms, tables lifting from the floor, cold breezes and unexplained sounds. I think it is safe to say most of us at one time or another have played with the Ouija board or if not at least thought about it.
The use of a spirit or talking board to learn though prophecy has been around for a very long time. The Ouija board, as we know it, began around the 1890s. It was a parlor game and used for entertainment purposes. The American Spiritualist movement began using it as a tool for Divination. Divination is the predicting of events under Divine inspiration.
In approximately 1890 Elijah Bond got the patent on the first modern Ouija board. William Fuld bought the rights in 1891. Upon Fuld’s passing Parker Brothers bought the rights and has had them ever since. Hence, the rectangular board with the words yes or no on the the top and the alphabet across the front. The Planchette is the plastic heart shaped tool that moves across the board spelling out words and sentences.
Using the Ouija board
I find it works best with 3 people. Sit across from a partner in a quiet dimly lit room. Light a white candle and say a prayer asking that only positive and loving energies come to you. Place your hands very lightly on the Planchette. Have the third person hold a pen and paper ready to record the letters. The two Planchette holders should close their eyes, as to not subconsciously move the Planchette. Relax and allow your Planchette to move around the board. The recorder should write down every letter because words can be spelled within groupings of letters. When you are finished say another prayer of thanks. Decipher your findings. I bet you will be surprised.
