Pisces
Romantic Pisces loves to be in love — at least, in theory. Ruled by Neptune, planet of fantasy, he wants to be swept away in the tidal wave of romance. Glamorous Pisces rules the imagination, and he has a way of making everything feel tinged with magic and fantasy. He's gentle, nurturing and sensitive, and his mates rely on him to soften the rough edges.
Pisces is symbolized by two fish swimming in opposite directions, and this sums up his approach to love. He's eternally searching for a partner to provide both security and freedom, and can be genuinely puzzled when they don't come in one package. He can be a hardcore realist one second, then desperate to escape into a fantasy world the next.
For that reason, the reality of commitment is his least favorite part of the game. At times he'll do anything to avoid it. For example, he'll complain endlessly about how badly women have treated him in the past. Secretly, he loves the drama, as long as it stokes the flames of his fantasies. This can confuse the heck out of any woman trying to figure out what he wants. Don't be fooled into thinking he's looking for an easy, breezy romance. This guy loves the games, especially the chase. You must remain slightly out of his reach (at least for several moments a day) to provide the intrigue he needs to remain interested.
As the ruler of the underworld and the zodiac's twelfth house of trouble, he can be his own worst enemy in love. His taste in partners can be suspect. He's drawn to tortured souls, grungy performance artists, and even to people with a dark side. Any damsel in distress with a sob story can melt his compassionate heart, too. You may discover that he's still supporting an ex-girlfriend from years ago when you big dating. Drawing the line and delivering a little tough love may be essential to getting your Pisces boy to cut those cords.
But it's not entirely his fault. His ruler Neptune is a hazy, watery planet where it's hard to tell what's real. Sometimes he can experience life this way, unsure what to believe or whom to trust. Unfortunately, this can make him vulnerable to being victimized, or making poor judgments he later regrets. Wise Pisces learn to step back and give themselves a reality check before making any big moves.
His biggest challenge is asserting himself, and asking his mate directly for what he needs, rather than getting quiet or passive-aggressive. The wise woman will check in regularly with her Pisces, or better yet, learn to read his moods. His quiet spells may simply be his need for solitude. If he spends too much time away from home, look out. He may be swimming off in another direction. Don't let distance grow unchecked. He may feel guilty opening up about one of his needs, but the woman who safely draws these desires out of him is the one he'll come sailing back too night after night. He'll built a castle in the clouds for an open-minded woman who is willing to fall into a fairy tale romance of your co-creation.
