Feng Shui in Your Bathroom
Feng Shui tips for your bathroom Love Feng Shui, feng shui for love, romance and marriage! How to use Feng Shui in marriage. Feng Shui is important in the bathroom because it is a place where water flows and water flows generally symbolizes the flow of money. The main type of Feng Shui that is practiced in the bathroom is a preventative type. It is literally about preventing your cash from going down the drain.

The first Feng Shui tip is to pay attention to is your toilet seat lid. Your toilet seat lid must always be closed, as an open toilet symbolizes the flushing of your money or wasting of money. If possible, try to have a toilet fixture that is in any other color but white. White is the color of death in Feng Shui. Some people go as far as to paint the toilet seat red to prevent the loss of money, but you can achieve a similar effect simply by putting a red cover on it of some kind.

Another feng shui tip is to hang chimes or bells on your toilet handle. Thus, each time the toilet is flushed the chimes can help diffiuse any negative energy.

You should also make sure that the plugs for the drains that are in the sink or bathtub are always in place. This can also prevent money from slipping down the drain.

As a rule, you should be very conscientious about not having any mirrors in your bathroom that might be reflecting the toilet or any drains. This is because it can double your losses financially.

It is very important to keep the bathroom as clean and shiny as possible. Dirt and grime harbor negative chi and can cause financial problems in Feng Shui.

As a Feng Shui tip, the more color that you have in your bathroom and the less white, the more likely you are to maintain your general health. A nice touch in the bathroom is scented candles to help keep it smelling nice. When you keep candles in the bathroom, make sure that the wicks have been lit at least once and burned as having candles with unburnt wicks is not lucky.

If you want to attract love, then try placing pictures of lovers, ducks, or peonies in the southeast corner of the bathroom. You might also consider keeping a pair of rubber duckies on the side of your tub if you are trying to manifest a lover.

To attract mentors and enhance your career luck, paint the north wall of the bathroom blue. To attract money, put all of your green colored bathroom objects in the southeast corner.

If fame is what you are after, one Feng Shui tip is to place your mirror on the south wall and makes sure that it has a red frame or is surrounded by red colored soaps and toiletries. Star shaped objects can also help you attract reknown and glory.

Finally, make sure that the bathroom is very well lit and that anything electronic in it is in excellent working order. Broken appliances and burnt out lights in a bathroom can signify poor health.

I personally love the idea of feng shui because it seems to be a little common sense. You can go absolutely bonkers though if you do everything the the fengshui consultants say. First things first, it's all about removing clutter. If you put every little thing suggest, then you're just creating clutter. By the way, who has the money to change things like plumbing? Please... I also think people take feng shui to seriously. If you have a good attitude in life and put good energy in your house, your business, your family life, your love life, I think everything in life will work out just fine. Color and fishies and what have you are not going to change anything if you're negative about everything. And don't stress about stuff, cause that's the energy you're putting into your life and all the areas in your life. Love yourself, love your life, and color is great! I Love color. Sandy Hermanns

I bought a house a year ago, and I think some parts had already been feng shui'd - all the walls, with the exception of the bathrooms and the kitchen/dining room, are a nice shade of brown. the front bathroom is painted lightish blue, the kitchen and dining room are golden yellow and the master bath (mine) is green. all the trim and doors, tho, are white. in neither bathroom does the toilet face the mirror; in the master bath the toilet is in a separate little room of its own. I replaced both seats/lids with an oak one and have candles which have been burned some in both. the master bath has a separate shower and garden tub; on the walls on the ends of the tub there were wall hangings with Chinese characters on them, and a bamboo (I think) mat in front of the sink. also a pair of plastic plants on the window ledge in Oriental motif containers.

it seems a lot of you didn't really read or comprehend the article. re-read it and you will see, for those of you who chastise about the white toilet - it says to put a cover on the seat for your color. Also you shouldn't have to do much plumbing changing at all just to have a stopper over the drains - unless rubber ones aren't allowed which you can easily purchase.

Do you think that you will implement all the changes that have mentioned here. Mine is already constructed. So i cannot make any modifications in that. But next time, when i build a plot, surely i will consider all these ideas. Bathroom is a place which gives me so much of new and innovative thoughts. So i will take care of its design.

I saw a picture of a beautiful white bathroom online and was planning to make my bathroom exactly that way. After reading the article, I am definitely going to look for another design. Unfortunately I've already bought a white toilet and shower tray. I'll just change the seat cover of the toilet.

Yeah like Jean I live in an apartment, we can't change them...my whole bathroom is white, everything from the tiles to the toilet to the shower stall...everything is white. We added blue with our little rugs we have in there and the accessories for the bathroom but other than that that's the only thing that we can even change in our bathroom...And yeah some people can't r earrange their plumbing to match feng shui....

I think that I have heard of this before when I was young. My mother ahs consulted fengshui before and this is what he had to say. He said that we should do something about the toilet sit which is white. We have done nothing about that because we don’t really think it is necessary. This might have caused our business to fall down.

There seem to be a lot of things that are wrong with my bathroom. What if I just add the color red to whatever I can, especially to offset the white tiles? If I add blue and green, it's going to be too much of a colored nightmare.

I think I'll leave my bathroom just the way it is, I mean, I don't feel like rearranging the fricken plumbing just to warp the universe to my liking.

What do you do if you live in an apartment and you are not allowed to paint or change the color of the toilet? Also, we only have a shower in the southeast corner (not a large shower). Our toilet is placed directly in front of the sink and mirror. What can I do with this layout? Need some help here someone, anyone. Thanks for your time. Jean V. Mesa, Az.
