Laura I just read the comment about the guy wanting to buy feng shui too...lol. Guess he is too sick to be reading the whole article. Roger, you should be visiting the Doctor and not looking for a place to buy feng shui because you won't be finding it any time soon

Every article about feng shui is very informative. How about bananas in replace of peaches, does banana do well in the dining table? I also like rearranging the things inside our house, I want it to that cozy even though our house is small.

When I bought my home, before I moved a stick of furniture in, I bought a Feng Shui book.."Guide to Feng Shui" by Stephen Skinner. In it, has a foreword by Wu Hsein Sheng, a feng shui master. It's been working for me.

I'm here just to learn more about feng shui but honestly I don't know if I believe all of that stuff. Now don't get me wrong I am not saying anything bad against the people who believe in feng shui and how it affects people's lives and everything like that. I'm just not sure if it's right for me, especially with the decorating. I have such a thing with decorations and I like it how I like it.

It never ceases to amaze me when I see/hear the ignorance of some people. I don't remember who said it (but I'm sure someone here will) but they said: "If you don't want anyone to know how ignorant you are, keep your mouth shut." Feng Shui is no more occult than going to your family doctor is (and yes, I know you didn't say this but someone told you it was occult - so that statement is directed at them - not you). Feng Shui is a way of life for billions - yes, billions of people throughout the world. No one knows how or why it works but for those who believe - it does. The art of Feng Shui is thousands of years in the making and has been successfully used during that time. I personally think that 'belief' has a lot to do with many things working better for some people than others. Belief that you're going to get better oft-times works as well as prescription drugs. Keeping a positive outlook will make 'bad' things get better faster. Karma plays a part in 'payback' oft-times because someone dwells on what they did or didn't do and they become their own worst enemies. But, Feng Shui works on harmony. It opens the pathways of the house/building so you don't have to 'negotiate' a maze to get from point A to point B, whether it be by physical movement of the body or by movement of the eyes/mind. It gives a peace and sense of wellbeing simply by allowing the mind to remain in a calm state. And, it is common sense that if you maintain cleanliness wherever you live/work, you are going to feel better and be healthier. Occult?? Not even close.

Roger - where do you live? You can't buy FENG SHUI. it is a way of living in the home with the art of placing things in their correct or almost correct areas for health and wellness and financial success too. find a person in your area who can come to the home and make a payment plan as it will cost a bit yet in the long run, learning to have the nice things in the home, which does not necessarily mean you have to runout to buy things, just moving things around and having the place cleaned up a bit makes a big difference. carmen p in san diego livingbalanced.com Page: 1 2 3 You must log in to post a comment.
