The Birth of the Knights Templar
by Sylvia Browne
I’ll admit that I’ve been curious about many of the secret societies that have existed in our world. Powerful people have belonged to these mysterious organizations that for many years we have not had knowledge about. One of those organizations that is well known is the Knights Templar.
From my research, I have learned that although this became a secret society later, it did not begin this way. Some historians say they first began in 1099, others say they began in 1111 and others still say they got their start in 1118. So we know the Knights Templar existed a long time ago.
My Spirit Guide Francine says that the Knights Templar was founded in about 1099 under a different name by a man known as Godfrey de Bouillon. He was one of the leaders of the Crusade. He founded the Knights Templar when Godfrey captured Jerusalem in 1099 and accepted the title “Protector of the Holy Sepulchre.” A group of a dozen knights then evolved into the Knights Templar, following Godfrey’s death in July 1110.
These knights then founded the “Order of the Poor Knights of Christ and the Temple of Solomon.” It is said that they were to protect any pilgrims who were traveling to the Holy Land.
The Knights of Templar became quite wealthy. It is thought that they eventually disbanded and the remaining knights joined different orders such as the Knights Hospitaller, the Knights of Christ in Portugal and the Knights of Montessa in Spain. Francine has told me that the remaining Templars did indeed assimilate into other orders, secret societies and that some Templars still continue their activities in secret. She claims that some have reincarnated into our present-day world to give us the truth about Christ.

Dear Sylvia: Thanks for this report, I didn't know this. Why did they go after King Solomon's gold? Were they originally trying to capture the Holy Grail (the cup of the Lord Jesus)? There was talk about the three Marys (Mary, mother of Jesus, Mary Magdelaine, and Mary the housewife whom is scolded by Jesus for not paying attention during the sermons)...Martha? Anyway, is this group, Knights Templar related to the present day Rosecrucian movement or the Knights of Columbus? What IS there agenda. I was raised Catholic and I am still trying to find this out, it is a Men's club only. Just like the Mason's...good ol' boys. I wish it weren't so...but...power begets power, and absolute power corrupts absolutely (usually). Unless Jesus steps in and says "Peace" or "I am the way, the truth and the life, anyone who comes to me shall not loose their life but be given a new life (in Christ Jesus). I like the fact you have a female version of God. It is time to even the scales in favour of women. I was never allowed to read the second reading on the altar because I was a girl. It sort of made me feel less than alright. Today this has changed, but I won't forget those feelings of hurt from the Monseigeur. Someone says the church does not like women or children. It is a male bastion, and probably always will be. I dont understand that when there are good people in the church who'd like to see the true ways of Jesus progress. Too political, and I like openness, not secretiveness or exclusivity. Inclusive is the word for me! Jane Jones Canada

I keep getting invitations in the mail to join a secret society. They will not reveal anything except that they have chosen me personally because I Have all the traits they look for in their members. Any insight into what this might be all about?

My uncle happens to be a member of the masons, it's not exactly a secret society, more like a private club. I'd join, but I have my own rules when it comes to joining an organization, ones that they rip up all over the place.
