Understanding Your Wish Dreams
by Sylvia Browne
Every night we dream and our dreams give us insights into our lives. Some of our dreams are prophetic and will tell us of future events. Other dreams are release dreams, helping us to get rid of unwanted emotional states. Then there are wish dreams.
A wish dream is a wonderful dream and it is just like it sounds: a dream about something you are wishing for. Perhaps you are newly married and wishing for a baby. So you dream of holding that sweet baby in your arms. When you have a wish dream, you wake up feeling so satisfied because in those few moments your dream came true! It was as if you won the lottery of your choice: your desires were within reach.
Sometimes your wish dream is literal and very easily understood. Just like the example of wanting to have a baby and holding it in your arms in the dream. You dream for exactly what you wish for.
Other wish dreams are not meant to be taken as literally as they appear. Someone once told me they were dreaming that their mother-in-law told them that she had left a letter in the house that the woman needed to read. The woman searched the house top to bottom, but found no letter. The dream spoke of the unresolved communication between the two women.
Understanding your dreams is very much a gift that you can give yourself. As you learn about your dreams, you will understand yourself.

Linda that is really amazing. Maybe you can pray that the disastrous events that you dreamt about never happen. Sometimes we are shown thing in our dreams so that we might take actions in order to make them not happened. When I dream of bad thing happening, I usually pray for them not to and they usually don't

Linda, i have something to say about your dreams. about the great flood of water, flash of light and the rush of hot air, i really think that these dreams are interpreted as the things that are happening in the world. like the anger of human nature. many calamities have hit our world. and you are like a psychic because at a young age, you seem like have predicted the things that happened now.

I have had many dreams in my lifetime, many of them have come true. There are three dreams that I have had in my younger years (about 35 years ago) that haunt me. One was a great flood of water would take at least 60 miles of land and millions of peoples lives away. The second dream was a flash of light while I was standing next to a chain link fence, then the rush of hot air and then everyone including myself was exterminated. The third dream was a dream of a major city completely intact but all the people were lying dead on the ground. Now these dreams came to me when I was an early teen in the early 70's when there wasn't any talk of the end of the world, nuclear or chemical warfare. I think it is interesting that I drempt all of this at such a young age and yes I wasn't on any drugs. I can tell you so many more that did come true but I can write a book.

There are times when i dream about things. and i will come to realize that those are just some things that i wish to happen and have. i have always believed that dreams are your guide to life, the things that you want to have and happen and also your fears. that is what i understand about my dreams.

Yes i agree with you Green. I think that dreams are made to guide us with our lives. there are times when we dream about things that may affect our lives and it is good that we can try to prevent and pray about those things that we do not want to happen to us.

I've had a few wish dreams and they have always been so fulfilling. I always use my dreams as a guide in my life. A lot of the time I dream about stuff that is about to happen in the future. If I take steps as well as pray for it not to happen, it doesn't. Remembering your dreams and finding out what they mean is very important.

Yes, i have also heard about wish dreams. and someone told me that there are two types of dreams: wish and fear. the wish dream has already been discussed in this article. and the other one is the fear dream. i am not sure about this but it was once said to me that if you had a dream, it is either your wish or the one the you fear the most.
