One night I was sitting on the couch with my cat on my lap. All of a sudden she was looking over my shoulder and started hissing. Another time she was lying on my bed and was following something up toward the ceiling, back and forth all around the room, it was like there was a spirit there.

My Treeing Walker Coonhound-Cherokee- was with myself and an older friend in a motel at a dog show. I had not had Cherokee very long and she did not want to house break. She woke me up trying to escape her cloth crate several times. in the middle of the night, I gave up trying to get the dog to go for a walk-she refused to go out, but kept going to my friends bed, who was sleeping very soundly. My friend sometime during that evening woke me up coughing badly and complaing her back hurt her-I looked over-Cherokee was standing by her bed with head in her lap. Cherokee had clawed through the neting on the crate and had gotten out and would not leave my friend. I wanted to call 911 but my friend was stubborn and refused, we never got to the doctor until the next morning. Seems she had had a heart attack-she came through fine- but my dog had allerted us and we did not understand her. You can bet that I pay attention to her now but hope I never have to go through that again.
