Getting To Know Your Spirit Guide

For a while there, it seemed that the popular trend was for everyone who consulted a medium to get the name “Running Water,” “Standing Bear,” “Silver Fox,” or something like that for their guides. Now I’m not trying to dispute the fact that there may be some Native American spirit guides, but it just seems that during my many decades of research, I would have encountered one of them. However, as with everything else, if you do hear a name, roll it around in your mind, see if it feels right, and then use that name – or change it, as I did with Francine, my own Spirit Guide. Just do whatever feels comfortable to you. Even though it makes it more personal to call a guide by name, I fully believe that it doesn’t matter what you call them – as long as you do call on them.

Some guides will appear to us as children when we’re kids ourselves. My son Christopher, whose guide’s name is Charlie, came to him in the form of a little boy and grew up with him. Francine, on the other hand, and grew up with him. Francine, on the other hand, always seemed to be about 30 years of age and stayed that way. This is somewhat aggravating to me, since I’m now much older and she’s still 30!

I’ve done enough research to believe that given my childhood (which featured a somewhat absentee mother figure), Francine took on the persona of an older and matriarchal person, while Christopher, who had a strong mother figure (me), might have chosen to have his guide be a helping buddy. In fact, imaginary playmates are spirit guides 99 percent of the time. Guides will come in as children to make it easier for their young charges to learn from them.

 Hello Sylvia, I just bought 4 of your books 1) End of Days 2) Contacting your Spirit Guide 3) If you could see what I see 4) God Creation and Tools for Life I just finished Contacting your Spirit Guide and bought the 4 white candles and going to try to figure oout my spirit guide. Thanks so much for the cd included with the book. I was born on October 13th 1961 and was told I have some abilities but I have yet to see if it's true. I see we are both Libras,,, I am far from being balanced,, lol,,, I just left an 18 year abusive marriage and moved 100 miles away and I'm starting over.  I saw you at a Psychic Camp in Clinton , Iowa. I was 23 I believe at the time and you were helpou know she is famous and wroterbecause it so happened to be mine that cancelled. I will never forget this tttttto the day I die and there after. I was a little scared because I live in IL. which it did not really matter where you lived at the time. The ladies a the Camp said you are the luckiest one here. Did you know she very famous and she just wrote a book. I believe in Psychic always have. You were great. You said I was very smart but theey did not know how I really was until I went back yo College around 30 yrs. old and you aslo said that growing up my parents did not know what to do with me because I was so smart and I always knew what was goig to happen before it happened.  Dear Sylvia, You are the greatest! Because of you I now can relate , I always felt that God is a loving God, and never could understand why the church would try and scare people so to conform to their ways. I guess that is why I had left the church many years ago. I have always had God in my heart, and as I read your many books , I am so pleased that I can connect to my Angel's,and Spirit Guide's, which I don't know the name, but I am still learning to listen to. I know I have a ways to go, but I am so happy to know I have them with me. I do thank God for you, Thank you a million times over for your wisdom, I can say my life is that much richer since I first saw you.

 Dear Sylvia, Your gift is so special to me. I love to hear you speak. I have watched you many times on T.V. I have been lost and feel like a part of me died as well, since I lost my mother in 2000.  Hi Sylvia, Thank you for sharing your gift with us. You have made the unexplainable - explainable. (At least understandable). Can your spirit guide be a relative? I have been told that my Great Grandmother is my guardian angel, and that hers would be the first face that I see when I pass over. Could she posssibly be my spirit guide or is it someone else? Also I would like to know: Which life am I on. I feel like I'm almost finished but not quite. Can you give me some insight on that subject? Thank you Marie
