Do All Pets Go To Heaven?

by Sylvia Browne

Anyone that knows me truly knows just how important my pets have been over the years. The loss of a beloved pet can hit you just as deeply as the loss of just about anyone else in your life. Our pets are our beloved companions and friends—they are always by our side, ready to listen.

Many people have asked me if their pets really do go to heaven. If animals are on The Other Side. They are always relieved to discover that the answer is "yes." You will be reunited with your pet on The Other Side when you go Home. They will meet you and they will be as lively and as full of personality as they ever were when you step out of the Tunnel.

My new book All Pets Go To Heaven: The Spiritual Lives of the Animals We Love is coming out January 2009. In this book I discuss just how spiritual animals truly are. Some may not realize this, but animals need to learn no spiritual lessons: they actually come to Earth just to live their lives with us. When you think about it, it is so meaningful to know that your pet is here only to live their life with you. Animals are pure and their hearts are full of love.

Well, Sylvia, it is quite obvious from the length of this blog site, that the world is aching for a book on animals and their spiritual life. Please take this as a testimony that we all would love several books on animals. Thank you for your upcoming book.

I think that just about everyone has a pet story waiting to be shared because that is what pets are all about! That unconditional love & complete trust they have in us can't be matched by any person. I have had several dogs during my life but 2 of them continue to be in my thoughts on an almost daily basis. They have both passed away & I miss them deeply but know that they are no longer bound by the earthly pains they were experiencing. Of course I have a dog in my life now who answers to "Tucker". He is a large 5 year old dog that I rescued from a dog shelter. You can tell that he has had some issues in his past & he gets out of control on occasion. During those times he will suddenly stop, sit down, & look intently at a certain corner of the room (always the same corner) & cock his head in a listening posture. I'm positive that my 2 "angel dogs" are communicating with him & letting him know what is what & explaining doggie etiquette. Usually after about 10 minutes (of listening to them) he will come sit beside me, lay his head on my lap & look up at me as if to say "I'm sorry, I get it now". I firmly believe that dogs are able to see things that we can't because of their innocence. Of course they will be there for us when we cross over! Thanks Sylvia for confirming this fact for me, Vikki

Dear Sylvia, how many times can animals that died come back to Earth? I heard you tell other people that have had more than one life on Earth. Can the same animals that we had in another life come back in this life time also? Thanks and God-Bless.

My Mother owned two Parm's that were over 12 yrs old each. One of Moms last request before Cancer took her body away was to have the dogs cremated, and placed into her coffin w/her. She said that no one would take care of them like she did, plus they were both old, and not in good health. The day my mom crossed over, I took both dogs to the Vets' to have them cremated as mom wanted. About three weeks after all three of them were buried, I heard both of the dogs barking in my moms bedroom where she died in. My Aunt who was with my mom when she crossed-over said that she had heard the dogs barking too, only she was afraid of saying anything because of what people would think of her mental state of mind. When I told her about hearing the dogs myself, that was when she told me her story. I beleive they just wanted to let us know that they had crossed over and were healthly once again.

Hi Sylvia,Once again I want to agree with you about animals coming here to help and give love to us. My youngest daughter who was 2 1/2 yrs old at the time had climbed onto the top step of our swimming pool ladder. The last person who was swimming in this 4'x 18' above ground pool didn't remove the ladder. I was getting ready to go to work, and I heard my AKC Boston Terrier (Peno) barking in the backyard. One thing, he wasn't allowed to be outside w/o being tide, so I knew something was wrong. I looked out the window and seen my baby girl setting on the top step of this ladder looking down into the pool. Peno had jumped into the pool, and was swimming back and forth in front of the ladder barking to get our attention. This dog's legs were only about five inches high, but he was able to jump over four feet high into the pool to save my girl. I thought that would be a fine story in rememberance of this fine animal. My daughter is 29 yrs old now who Peno helped save.

I wanted to say to you all I am sooo sorry on your loses of your sweet little friends and companions :-( I have lost alot of my sweet fur friends through the years also and I miss them sooo much :-( I can't wait to see them all again. In 2003 & 4 My 4 little dog friends left us to go to heaven. They lived to the ages of 13 and 14 and 17 years. We took real good care of our furbaby's. Since my husband and I couldn't have our own children Our creator let us have his fur darlin's to adore and take care of. It just about killed us when they left us :-( My sweet husband hated to see me suffer when they passed way he got me 3 new shiht-zus dogs. Mommy and her son and a another little gal :-) We have them now since 2004 and I love them just about the same as my other ones. I just adore children but it wasn't in our charts this time around so we were blessed with 3 little fur baby's. I hope and pray after your losses you will be blessed with some more little animals, but they will never take over the loss of your other little friends you have had but try to get some more to help you with your sorrow. It took me awhile to get some more sweet little dolls. They helped me alot by all the pain I am still trying to get over the hurt but they helped me so much. I love them with all my heart. I also LOVE my husband soooo much. You will never for get them and they will never forget you. In which I won't. Take care, Thank you for sharing your story's. God Bless and Hugs, Deborah P.S. Thank you slyvia for the information about our animals I appreciate you and every thing you do for us.

I'm so glad that you wrote a book about pets, Sylvia. I have a cat named Prince that I love with all of my heart. My dog, Buffy, died two weeks ago (7/19/08) at the age of 13. My brother was 5, and I was 13, when we took in Buffy as a puppy. We miss her deeply, and we're glad that we will be reunited with her on The Other Side someday. I had a dream of her kissing my face the night before she passed away. Our animals are a precious gift from God, and I am grateful for their unconditional love and affection--- Blair

Cannot wait to see the rats, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, fish, frogs, birds, rabbits, hamsters, lizards, and all the other pets we have owned growing up. Also, all those pets owned in past life's. Lookout loved ones there will be a stampede when I return home.

yes Maureen. the attitude of our dogs depends on how we train and take good care of them. some people use pit bulls for dog fighting and i think that it very inhumane. i don't know why they do it. if it is because of money, they should try to look for something to do for them to earn money. we should also respect our pets and love them as much as they love us.
