Do All Pets Go To Heaven?

Anyone that knows me truly knows just how important my pets have been over the years. The loss of a beloved pet can hit you just as deeply as the loss of just about anyone else in your life. Our pets are our beloved companions and friends—they are always by our side, ready to listen.

 

Many people have asked me if their pets really do go to heaven. If animals are on The Other Side. They are always relieved to discover that the answer is "yes." You will be reunited with your pet on The Other Side when you go Home. They will meet you and they will be as lively and as full of personality as they ever were when you step out of the Tunnel.

 

My new book All Pets Go To Heaven: The Spiritual Lives of the Animals We Love is coming out January 2009. In this book I discuss just how spiritual animals truly are. Some may not realize this, but animals need to learn no spiritual lessons: they actually come to Earth just to live their lives with us.  Now I have something to confessed about this fightings between animals. I can say I am a part of it. Especially on cockfighting, I oftentimes bet there and though I don't really enjoy seeing animals hurt each other, I certainly enjoy winning and getting a lot of money. That was a year before.

 I agree Melvin. In this country, they just treat pets like nobody. pets have also souls and they get hurt too. i don't see any reason why people in our country are so cruel to them. they use them to have a living like cockfighting and dog fighting. some also eat them. this is really sad.

 Yeah I agree. I really wonder why they think pets don't have souls. I mean here in Philippines, about 40% of people do not treat pets as someone who is important. Instead, they are just making fun with pets and other animals. I'm not an animal lover but those things I believe are not really fair.

 Hi Blondina. Yeah it really feels sad that some people think that pets does not have souls. Some religions believe that. Someone told me that for them, pets does not have souls, i contradicted that but i also respected her belief. but i still don't agree with that.

 Hi Melvin. Well, pets go at the other side not just because God loves pets. but i think it is also because they have good souls and they deserve to be on the other side. pets are also like human beings. they know how to love and they also get hurt.

 This is a very tricky question. I think God loves pets. They are a huge part of His creation. So I think yes. I had a pet before that I really love so much. Eventually the dog died and my mom never told me until I got a year older.

 It is true Lavern. We should love our pets and treat them well. They are also like people who can get hurt. Let us not be cruel to our pets so that when they go to the other side, they will be happy.

 Pets are as important as person does. I think this animal has soul of their own. They should be treated well. I know some people who liked animals to be their companion at home. I think if they are trained well then they can as they say, “Mans best friend”.Thanks.

 Hi Sylvia, I work at a pet store and I really get sad to see that some people think that aninals have no soul or feelings and can be replace at anytime. We work with an adoption groups but one of them goes the extra miles ( Last hope cat kingdom.) Renate who is the founder and her group works hard to place homeless animals. She is a true blessing to those homeless animals in finding them a new home and life. I had always enjoyed visiting my mothr-in-law, I exspecailly enjoyed our conversation about her life and working with her husband in the lumber business they owned. And, about their great dane. Just talking about everything i enjoyed those visted. On one of visit we were talking and in her conversation she said spell dog backward thats is why dog is man best friend. I think of that everyday and it is so true unconditional love. Thank you sylvia for being a light in this world and the books your write. God bless you, love Nina.
